I first tried this as a roll-on – I could barely smell it at all. It seemed faintly peppery, but no matter how much I applied, it was like a ghost of a fragrance – it just somehow escaped me, and it barely lasted a minute, it left faster than my other Pacifica fragrances. I have heard the solids can smell differently from the sprays/roll-ons, so I tried out the solid. The fragrance is stronger and longer lasting, but it is also different. Now, I basically smell a top note of (light/delicate) orange (or grapefruit?), and whatever lies beneath it is pretty faint, but present enough to not leave you with just pure citrus. I don’t know what lotus blossoms smell like, but this mostly smells similar to citrus on me, rather than a floral. Alone, it doesn’t strike my fancy enough to buy it again – I am blending it with another Pacifica solid to make it interesting and pleasing enough to use it all up. I considered giving it 2/5 since I was really hoping to discover the scent of lotus rather than purchasing a citrus smell, but then, I don’t know what lotus smells like, so maybe it’s delicately tucked away in there and I am not smelling it. So 3/5, as it’s not a bad smell, just far from what I expected.
Edit: I also have the Island Vanilla, which I’m also not very impressed with. But blending it together with Lotus Garden is a pretty good combination, so at least I can use them up in a pleasant way!

I have this Lotus Garden scent in the roller ball; I believe I picked it up from Whole Foods 2 years ago. I adore the packaging and the roller ball packaging gives a perfect amount of perfume each time. It’s a lovely scent. I get notes of grapefruit and pink pepper, it’s fresh but lightly sweet. I feel beautiful and exotic when I wear this scent. I will repurchase even though cost is high due to the unique smell. Its original. I will look into other scents by Pacifica since this was so nice.

Love it! Not a strong scent but strong scents give me a huge headache. Very nice, green sort of scent. Does not smell like chemicals. Affordable and easy packaging. Will repurchase.
Ingredients:
Natural denatured grain alcohol and Pacifica’s own perfume blend with natural and essential oils.

I could not stand the smell of this perfume. It smelled like a head shop. I appreciate natural smells, but I do not want to go around smelling like a hippie. Pass.

I’m a bit on the fence about this. I ordered roller balls of this and blood orange (which I did not care much for). I was very happy with the quality of the roller ball and its design. However, the first two times I used this product it smelled overwhelmingly of grapefruit to me. A rather sweet grapefruit, similiar to the Pink frangrance by GAP. (Not what I was looking for) Today I tried it on yet again and I was able to smell more of the lotus blossom and it smelled much nicer and I could pick up more of the different scents. The grapefruit smell was not nearly as overwhelming and it was fresher and more clean smelling. I’m not sure what changed. If it continues to smell fresh and flowery I will continue to wear it, if it goes back to smelling like sweet grapefruits it will sit on the shelf. I think it would be very nice as a candle. UPDATE: I have not had that grapefruit smell problem since. I actually bought the perfume solid and candle and they both smell amazing. No, they are not strong and don’t last long but I like that they are all natural.

I bought this from Sephora , about 4 yrs ago. I saw the packaging and that made me pick it up to look at it…the name also. I loved the fragrance immediately! I bought the 1 oz. spray.(I think…well ,the smallest cutest) I have worn this a lot. I get compliments mostly from people standing close by. This is not a strong , overwhelming fragrance. It’s very nice and clean…on me, it smells very lemony and a tad spicy…nice watery scent.I wish it could last longer , though…..so I carry it with me..to respray through the day. I now wish I bought the body butter (or cream) and the solid …all the types of applications for this scent …as I bet layering the scent would greatly help.I think this was discontinued …but Amazon.com has it.

Very pretty. One of my favorite Pacifica scents. Very wearable. It is a sort of grapefruit-floral. The floral in this scent is a soft, clean sort of “white” floral that comes out after the initial blast of grapefruit. Decent lasting power but not as good as the Pacifica lilac.

Green, slightly soapy floral with peppery notes. Unfortunately, it’s very very faint from the get-go and doesn’t improve. Dirt cheap and it won’t offend those around you, though. Awfully pretty in a clean, soapy sort of way. I do like it, but could wish for better sillage (which I almost NEVER wish for, as I like my scent to stay close to me) and longevity.

After trying many conventional perfumes and wrinkling my nose in disgust, I decided to investigate natural perfumes. This spray is a really wonderful light, fresh, slightly floral rounded perfume without powdery notes. It’s supposed to have yuzu (grapefruit), frangipani (plumeria), lotus, jasmine, violet, olibanum (frankincense) and pink pepper. The fragrance is very well-blended and my allergy-prone nose loves it. The citrus is not overpowering, the florals are not sticky strong, and there’s enough base to hold it and give depth but not overwhelm everything else. I feel relaxed, refreshed, and beautiful with this fragrance on. It is completely natural and it feels like it’s a part of me. It is not intrusive or bold and I’m convinced that this will always be my favorite!

(This review is for both the perfume spray and the solid perfume.)
This is a beautiful, gorgeous scent! Enough to lure me away from my trusty faithful Egyptian Musk or its back-up Persian Amber. I would describe it as a soft “floriental”. It’s not overwhelming at all like say the beautiful but very strong Opium, nor is it barely noticeable. (Though the spray lasts longer to my nose than the solid.) It’s a nice, balanced, memorable scent. The Pacifica website describes it as “a meditative and intoxicating blend of sparkling yuzu, lotus blossom, jasmine, olibanum and bright, radiant green notes” while the back of the spray box says “lotus blossom, green violet leaf, olibanum and pink pepper with radiant citrus at the top.” (FYI, olibanum is more commonly known as frankincense and yuzu is a Japanese citrus fruit.) I would say the top-note is a grapefruit-like scent, rounded out with a mid-section of the lotus, jasmine and violet leaves, grounded with base notes of frankincense and pink pepper. None of the sections overwhelm the others making it a nice, well-balanced scent. As I noted before, the spray seems to be stronger and lasts longer than the solid which is not always the case with Pacifica perfumes. But the solid is nicely portable without any danger of spillage (unless you’re in scorching temperatures!). Both of them are vegan with no animal testing. Another winner from Pacifica! I applaud them for all of their ethical products and exquisite, unique scents.
