This is a glorious, gorgeous scent! It is sweet and balsamic and powdery….vanilla and amber and a hint of cherry tobacco (not listed in the note matrix but it’s definitely presenting as cherry tobacco on my skin) and ooooh I’m in love. I can’t stop sniffing myself!
I’m in my 4th hour of wear and the musk is starting to come through, but in a cozy creamy way. I get hints of vanilla ice cream with the cherry tobacco and musk, and this is truly a masterpiece. I am already thinking I need a backup, and that’s saying something!
As far as the floral notes go, only a tiny bit of LOTV in the opening and very little orange blossom, but a hint of jasmine and rose make this more than just a fluff scent. The patchouli is fairly nonexistent on my skin, but this doesn’t really even need it.
Truly a winner!

I have at last acquired a bottle of Le Bain from ebay.
It was discontinued long ago! I love the warm, cherry
almond/tobacco vibe of this cosy gourmand scent.
On my skin I get none of the jasmine mentioned in the notes
but it seems to ramp up the benzoin ( everyone is different.)
This is definitely a feel-good fragrance and seems more suited to
the cooler months. A man could easily wear this too.

This is one of those warm “fuzzy” scents that guarantee comfort and protection against winter blues. It wraps you indeed like bath foam when you submerge into a hot bath. It is not sophisticated, yet quite unique and far from “blah” ( tonka bean is rarely as upfront as here ) and it is simply perfect for a late autumn / deep winter day, when snow mixed with rain is slashing behind the window and you have just hung your soaking wet coat on the hanger, pulled the obligatory woolen socks up and are about to dive under a quilt to watch an old fave movie for something like a hundredth time. It’s a jeans and sweater kind of frag – I don’t see myself wearing this with a gown.
