Lovely scent and not too overpowering
Cheap price for lady gaga line if perfume. The packaging is quite cool but quite clunky around the lid area.
My biggest gripe is that there is no staying power so no I would not repurchase once I’ve ran out.

I love this! At first I was really skeptical because I don’t have the best feelings about celeb perfumes. But this is awesome! Normally Perfumes doesn’t last very long on me, and is gone in 1 hour. But this is staying on me, and the vanilla/musk/ something else smells so good and sofisticated. I get a lot of compliments when I wear this, and even my boyfriend, who hates perfumes, like this. It smells like me he says 🙂 the price is good, it’s often on sale (WIN!), and the package is cool. The only thing is that the lid is a but tough to get on quickly.

Bottles cute I’ll give it that much but scent is like barely there .. No wonder it was 9.99 … It’s going back ..at least it ended my curiousity on how it smells.

You would think a pop singer with the persona that Lady Gaga has she would put out a really avante guarde scent….a scent that pushes buttons….a scent that screams different. Alas, though, that is not what happened with Fame. I remember reading once that she said she wanted her first fragrance to smell like semen and blood. That is kind of gross to think aobut but Fame is hardly that. It is a very safe fragrance and is very light……kind of a skin scent. It does have a lovely note of apricot which i at first mistook for oranges. It eventually develops into a smokey, incense type of fragrance which is nice too. The bottle is really cool and the gimmicky black liquid is kind of neat as well. If you like apricots or citrus fragrances in general you might like this but just dont expect too much.

Love this perfume. I’m not a ‘little monster’, but when I first saw it I thought…I wonder what someone like Lady Gaga thinks smells good, suspecting it was likely to be pretty bizarre.
And it is, but not in a bad way. It’s a ‘dark’ fruity floral. It is assertive without being aggressive, though I would limit myself to no more than two sprays were I you.
Lasting power is amazing, most of the day. It can be had very cheaply nowadays and I have several bottles in my stash.
(The ancillary products btw, the lotion/shower gel/etc smell nothing like the juice and I don’t recommend them for layering.)
My husband likes this one. When I’d wear it he’d say ‘you smell good’and one day he noticed the actual bottle, picked it up, examined it, uncapped it to sniff the nozzle…said ‘that smells good’.
I’m not 100% sure he connected the two ‘smells goods’ but what can you do. 🙂
I haven’t taken the time to describe the scent because everyone’s experience is different. But when someone tells you ‘it’s soft’ versus ‘assertive’, that stuff helps me.
You should not wear this if you are looking to be quiet at the office. If you like ‘Alien’ by Thierry Mugler, it’s more THAT type of thing. I don’t mean they smell alike, just that they are very unique scents that you have to wear and not be worn by.
I like it.

I love this perfume. It smells so good. It’s kind of floral to me, but there’s also hints of something else I can’t put my finger on. I finished the bottle fairly quickly, and just repurchased it while it was on sale, yay!
It’s too strong for my mom and my best friend, so if you can test it out before purchasing, I would recommend you do so. The packaging looks okay, It’s pretty different compared to other perfumes packaging. I don’t have any problems with the cap, as another reviewer mentioned.

I’m not a gaga fan but this perfume is awesome! I’m normally into floral/sweet scents such as the Marc Jacobs daisy line, Victoria secret, coach poppy, etc but I really love this. it smells sweet, very slight vanilla and musk on me. I love it. however, the packaging in my opinion is pretty boring

This fragrance reminds me of a couple of other scents. The first is Lolita Lempicka in some ways. Perhaps it is the licorice note that is in it, and then there is a powdery scent that reminds me a wee bit of Guerlain’s Eau de Shalimar, only not near as nice. I really do like it and I enjoy the scent of it close to my skin. I gave it only 4 out of 5 overall rating because it has no lasting ability on myself or my clothes. Too bad really because otherwise, I could see this fragrance becoming a constant grab for myself. The bottle is attractive, although quite hard to open. The color of the perfume is a bit of a kick back in a negative way for me, but it does not show any color once sprayed so it is doable. Some reviewers have mentioned the concern over the poisonous flower Belladonna being one of the notes, but I really do not think this is an issue to be worried over. I am sure many a test were done to see if the poison would come through from the flowers. If I am wrong, 😉 I suppose I can smell good even as I float away into the next realm. I said yes to buying this again, although I understand it has been discontinued. I love perfumes of all sorts and this one is yet another that I am glad to have in my wardrobe of scents.

First things first; I don’t get why this is being described as a fruity/floral – FAME is definitely something that I would describe as a floriental fragrance. On me there is only the tiniest hint of apricot, but it so short lived that it doesn’t really make an lasting impression on me. I think some people may be confusing the rich honey accord as apricot, grape or similar.
The belladonna and other florals develop almost as quickly as the honey on me, which evens out the sweet honey with the dark floral notes. FAME was a tricky perfume to review, as the floral center to it seems a bit different every time I wear it and try to jot a few thoughts on it down; sometimes it seems powdered, and sometimes everything seems spicier, thanks to the orchid. The listed belladonna, jasmine and orchid are the most developed floral notes but, overall, the floral heart to FAME is similar to Illamasqua Freak.
After about an hour or so a lingering sense of liquorice starts to carry through the floral notes, so maybe there’s some anise in the mix too? Around this time the florals gradually deepen and become peppery, thanks to the saffron. As the floral notes gradually settle into the background a note of patchouli begins to develop, giving the fragrance a ‘dirty’ feel and enhancing the spicy notes. I’m not sure which individual spice notes are used in the incense accord, but FAME slowly becomes darker, and as the lingering honey fades, slightly smoky – some wood accords in here too?
Official scent notes: Belladonna, incense, honey drops, saffron, apricot, jasmine, tiger orchid.
Many people seem to be disappointed by how ‘normal’ FAME is, but you have to remember that it is one of Coty’s celebrity ranges; it is in a lower price bracket and has to appeal to as many people, on a international scale, as possible. Baring these limitations in mind, I’m very happy with my bottle of FAME; it is a bit different from the usual celeb fragrance releases, but it is still easy to wear, with mass appeal.
Whilst FAME does go close to the skin after a couple of hours, I still catch lingering wisps throughout the day. When I wore it to bed, it was still detectable on my skin the next day. No: FAME doesn’t stain skin or clothes. I’ve even sprayed it directly onto a white t shirt and the liquid does indeed spray clear, despite being black in the bottle.

The packaging on this is cute. The perfume itself is black which is strange, but the designer is Lady Gaga so it is to be expected. The smell is too sweet, I think. It is pungent and long-lasting, but the scent smells like a cheaper version of Hanae Mori. It does not smell like anything recognizable (flowers, fruit, etc.). For this reason, I would not repurchase. I do not like manufactured scents.

I have been using this perfume for over a year, and I am very happy with the drop in price. One of my favourite perfumes.
Pros:
Nice and original packaging.
Very pleasant smell.
Long lasting.
Cons:
I’ve heard this has been discontinued, however appears to be easy to get a hold of online. Possibly due to suppliers selling their last bottles.
Top is hard to twist off.

Look, I really like this fragrance. I am complimented on it often!!!

Definitely my favourite perfume. I believe that most bad reviews are from Gaga haters. This perfume, however, is great. I love the packaging and the whole “Black that turns transparent” concept, and it smells so “dark”. The only thing I do not like is that it doesn’t stay on my skin for many hours.
