Notes: tarragon, lemon, ylang ylang, Rock rose, frankincense, davana, labdanum ciste, patchouli, amber, vetiver, musk, myrrh — in that order.
The tarragon, lemon, ylang ylang and rose make this perfume open like the first sniff from a garden on a cool summer morning. Surprise! I am alive, awake, lemony roses and herbs are nearby, and they smell cool and soothing. After a moment the idea of davana, which is a spicy scent, and then the realization of amber and musk… so the perfume seems almost like a symphony that is instantaneous and yet builds over time. to me this is pretty fantastic because the more I try to fgure out what I am smelling, the better and more complex it gets. This is the world’s best perfume hands down, on me, and I own about 300 full bottles of perfumes. I bought the body cream too and it’s heavenly stuff, very subtle and yet absolutely identical to the perfume. Plus it’s very softening and soothing; the ideal layer or to be used alone during the summer. I”m one happy camper with Jubilation 25!

Spicy orientals are my favorite type of scent, so with the notes (rose, patchouli, amber, myrrh) sounding similar to something I would appreciate, I was eager to try this scent. However, I was unable to detect any of the individual notes except for the frankincense/amber combination. My skin pulls the powder and incense from beginning to drydown. This scent not does not develop through any stages, and that’s pretty much all I get, powdery incense w/cumin. I enjoy both straight church incense scents like Avignon and the lighter, cleaner incense of Passage d’Enfer, and I also enjoy blended cumin scents, but these two together being so prominent along with the heavy dose of powder (and more powder) throughout is unappealing. I just tried the men’s version, Amouage Jubilation XXV, and prefer that one so much better. XXV’s incense is underscored by a fruity, gingery note that reminds me of Serge Lutens Five O’Clock Au Gingembre and Molton Brown’s new Iunu, both of which I love. So, although I’ll pass on the women’s 25, XXV along with Lyric Women (w/notes of cardamom, ginger, rose, patchouli) are definite keepers. **EDIT: I’m now giving it only one lippie, the overwhelming sour powder note is too much.

Jubilation XXV smells like Silver Factory. I still need to try Jubilation 25.

Tester insert says: “Jubilation 25 captures the magic of timeless eternity with rich top notes of rose and ylang ylang in which myth and reality are expressed using the finest franincense from Oman. This fragrance will appeal to the elegant, sophisticated woman – with the allure of amber, musk, vetiver, myrrh, frankincense and patchouli.”
It smells like Eau d’Hermes (which is similar to Diorella but with a heavier dose of cumin) combined with Magie. Both chypres… and the jamming of these two is kinda genius!
While it is certainly pleasing as I like both Eau d’Hermes and Magie, I’m not sure if I have the money to spend on this! May be I can just layer the two fragrances that I already have to achieve the same effect? While the Eau d’Hermes might be a bit light, the Magie reissue (and now again discontinued) is heavy and well made so there is a good chance it might work!
Having said above I will enjoy wearing the rest of the sample that I was gifted by a generous MUAer. 😉

Elegant & sensual. While Gold and Dia didn’t exactly thrill me, Jubilation 25 does. It’s a very smooth oriental chypre. Possibly the most well-blended scent I’ve smelled, as I know all the notes are there–I sense them–but the mix is really amazing. I would wear this as a special occasion scent, but I can actually see this as an everyday fragrance for a particular kind of woman. She knows what she wants and how to get it–no giggling, no ball-busting, no hesitation, no guilt (unfortunately, I’m known to exude all these traits). She’s dry and sharp and that’s what makes her sexy, though she could easily slide by on her looks. This makes the women in her life really enjoy her company just as much as the men. They think of her as quite the card. To me, when worn as a daily perfume, this isn’t just a fragrance; it’s an entire personality. Respected and always “together,” but always fun to be around. Notes: tarragon, lemon, ylang ylang, Rock rose, frankincense, davana, labdanum ciste, patchouli, amber, vetiver, musk, myrrh

I wish I got incense from this…. on me it is all super-heavy vintage parfum. I don’t really go crazy for that type of ‘outdated’ smell that is -very- heavy, cloying and fills your whole head with too much fragrance.
It definitely smells like I found some old perfume in a basement or attic… and put it on lavishly, although I literally used two small smidgens of a drop.
I’m trying my hardest not to scrub it off, but pretty sure that’s what’s gonna happen in about 5… 4.. 3..2…. I’m pushing myself to wait for some type of development out of it, but you can be assured I will never try it again.
There is a similarity here with Y by YSL, but I like that one more. No way!! I’d like to put it more nicely, but this stinks. No type of resemblance, to my nose, to any real flowers or anything else natural. Perfumey, heavy, and oppressive. The juice is as extravagant and overdone as the price tag, and in my opinion, totally unworthy of it.

This scent is gorgeous…I can’t even describe the beauty of it…it was a gift but when I found out the price, I nearly collapsed…it costs $360 canadian…I don’t know if I would purchase for myself because the price is overwhelming but if I could find it discounted I probably would.

The epitome of luxury! Classic French beauty married to the exotic riches of Arabia, the Amouage line has a depth and quality I have only found previously in Guerlain L’art et la Matiere and the Van Cleef collection extraordinaire (though the Van Cleefs are done in a lighter, more transparent style). Jubilation 25 is surely one of the most beautiful perfumes ever produced. Classic floral with beauty and depth, over an incense-y base. Gorgeous! Be sure to try it in spray form before you purchase. It is a HUGE floriental. Parfums Raffy has the 6-pc. sampler for $45. You will need to use a very light hand with all the Amouage line.

Thought I would like this from the reviews here and elsewhere on the web…but didn’t! On me, the incense is overwhelming – and that’s about all I get – for hours and hours.
On to try Lyric!

Everyone seems to have listed the notes clearly, but this scent is so much more than accumulated notes. It is just stunning to me and I am very ready to sell every scent I own, and wear solely this one. It FEELS like me, like something I have dreamed about and only now have found. Rich but not overwhelming in any way, I have stockpiled this one. Amazon.com still sells the 1oz bottles for $50!
