Unfortunately I like it
Has a repulsive scent initially
Too much
Then it was too moist or mouldy smelling with synthetic and strange notes
Lacks artistic fine-tuning and needs balance of added notes (or better quality ingredients?) to make it less sharp
However
The drydown made me feel comforted for unknown reasons. It is an interesting clang of notes. Does not evoke anything particularly but somehow comfortable and I somehow love it.
Now I spray it on one hand always as I ‘crave’ it throughout the day. I don’t know why.

I purchased a sample of this based on the great reviews all over several fragrance websites. It is indeed a warm oriental with a good amount of patchouli and when I get wafts of the scent on my skin, I do enjoy it. But there is also a high pitched thin note in here that I can’t place (maybe the papyrus?) When I put my nose to my wrist, it’s all I can smell. For that reason, I’m not a fan.

I actually adore this fragrance and I’ve never been one to buy celeb scents. This though smells so expensive and I just can’t get over how this is a celebrity creation. When I got this I sprayed it into the air and my mom and I go oh this reminds me of magie noire from Lancome. I own the old Magie and I could totally catch that vibe when I first sprayed it. I know they are nothing alike in terms of notes but in the opening the vibe it is there to me.
As some other reviewers have said I too smell the Shalimar vibe which I think is due to the bergamont in this. I personally really like this. The papyrus note I like but I love the smell of books but to me mixed with the patch I think smells really good. For what this costs I cannot believe how good it is. For me I wear this at night and I love it with the cold NY nights we’re having because to me this goes so well.
I will be buying more of this because I do like her fragrance Fancy as well which, I thought I wouldn’t like but I do. To me though Fancy Nights is the best one it is so mature and it has great lasting power and sillage. At the end of a night it leaves such a nice skin scent. My sister could still detect the Bergamont when I could not. She especially loved it because she loves Earl Grey tea lol.
I’m very happy with this and I own a lot of high end fragrance and this to me is just as good. It smells classy, makes me feel good, and to me is just gorgeous. If this was made by a designer company I bet it would be getting a lot more love. I am really happy that I have this and will continue to enjoy it.

It is not often I dislike a fragrance. This one was intensely sweet and not very interesting.

If you mostly like La Vie Est Belle, Coco Mademoiselle, Flowerbomb, Black Opium, etc then there is a chance you might really hate Fancy Nights. It is different than the typical popular fragrances of the moment. However, Fancy Nights does not stand alone as it is an exact copy of Prada Amber. If you love Prada Amber but for whatever reason can no longer afford a $120 bottle of perfume then please head over to Amazon and purchase Fancy Nights. Same. Exact. Fragrance!
This is an amber-patchouli mix. It has an odd old book note in the beginning that somewhat subsides as time passes. This fragrance is heavy and rich. It’s much more suited for fall/winter, but I have worn it in hot weather because I crave it. I REALLY hated Fancy Nights when I first purchased a bottle back in 2015 (when Amazon was FLOODED with celebrity scents going for like $8-$15 for 3.3oz bottles). I’m glad I didn’t give it away or toss it because for some reason I now love it. In fact, I’ve been wearing it all year. My 2015 bottle of Fancy Nights lasts so long on both the skin and clothes. It just wraps me in this rich, smooth cloud of amber and patchouli. The weird green bottle matches the juice inside.
Something I’d like to note: although many will turn their noses at Fancy Nights (and Prada Amber) when they smell it straight from the bottle, I have been complimented on this scent many times. In fact, men seem to like it, which is odd to me because it is pretty unisex and even masculine to my nose. So, people do seem to like when I wear it. Perhaps, from a distance or in passing this fragrance smells better than sniffed straight from the bottle?? Or perhaps it is my skin chemistry?? I’m not sure.
This is a more mature fragrance. It is not like the original Fancy, which is sweet and much more similar to the currently popular fragrances. There is nothing light or airy about Fancy Nights. It is also not a sugar-bomb or a candy factory or bakery scent. After about 2 or 3 hours of wearing Fancy Nights something in it reminds me of the drydown of Thierry Mugler Angel (another love of mine)… I guess it’s that dirty patchouli note in both.
Purchase with caution. You’ve been warned =)

UGH I don’t normally like to diss perfumes but this smells like Juicy Wet-Dog. My signature scent is Charlotte Tilbury Scent Of A Dream which has a healthy dose of patchouli but if you are expecting something sweet like Fancy you’ll be let down. It’s in no way sugary, celebutant, dessert-like lighter fare like a reviewer mentioned “safe.” Definitely none of the above. I blind bought this in a small bottle & I wish I had wasted my $7 on a mini bottle of Paris Hilton it would not have been wasted! Or another bottle of fancy body spray is like same price ($8) this green bottle is like pine needle colored it’s aptly packaged. Yeeewwwwwww Blech.

I adore Jessica Simpson’s Fancy, and wear it often. I saw this online, and figured all of her fragrances were great, why not try this one? What a mistake! Anyone remember Aspen men’s colonge? Mix that will OFF mosquito repellent. This was offensive and BY NO MEANS feminine. It was heavy of black pepper, licorice, woods and musk, very masculine. I gave it to a male friend of mine, and he loves it. The bottle is beautiful, but in no way indicative of the fragrance. Steer clear!

If you like fragrances like Obsession and Opium you’d probably like this. The first hour it was really strong and kind of headache inducing. I prefer fresh, soft fragrances like Fancy Love so I’m pretty sure I’ll rarely wear this. It was a blind buy. Too strong and masculine for me. This is a love it or hate it kind of fragrance so definitely try it before you buy if possible.

This is a nice scent similar to Kimora Lee in the black bottle but better. It is strong and more of a night time scent of course but I will wear it during the day. It smells luscious. Incense is what I smell with a slight medicinal note. 5 stars.

Top and Heart Notes: Indonesian patchouli, Egyptian papyrus, Bulgarian red rose, bergamot and night blossoming jasmine
Base Notes: creamy vanilla, amber, oak moss and sandalwood
This is a patchouli bomb if there ever was one. Which is fine if you like patchouli. If not, then this perfume will be your personal nightmare. It’s so strong that it will invade your nightmares and won’t leave your skin even after you’ve taken a shower.
Personally, I think this is a very unique, complex perfume that’s perfect for the right woman. A woman with a big personality who likes things like amethyst or ruby velvet curtains, skinny cigars, dry red wine and dark chocolate. A woman with a lot of volume in her hair and who owns more than one tube of red lipstick and who has more than one pair of black stiletto heels.
If you’re a delicate beauty who loves D&G Light Blue or other light fragrances, then you probably won’t be crazy about this heady brew of a scent.
This perfume is very divisive, especially because of the papyrus note that sticks around even in the drydown.
This definitely isn’t one of my favorites, although it’s earned my respect as a creature in its own right, having walked off the beaten path of fruitchoulis into its very own territory, carving a brand new path for celebrity fragrances.
If you’re interested in swapping, I have a bottle that about 95% full. Just drop me a note.
