This is a fun, flirty, wine-centric fragrance. The opening is pure red wine, a real grapey one with a hint of tannins that make it very like a rich Cabernet Sauvignon–I think this effect is achieved beautifully by pairing the grape/wine note with the pepper and rose. The litchi note is there, but only to add a hint of sweetness and softness to the whole composition–rather than leaving it astringent and harsh on the skin. Of all of the Mugler “Innocent” offerings, this is by far my favorite…and although LE, it will always have a place in my collection. A++
Notes: litchi and grape liqueur, rose, black pepper
The juice inside the bottle is even a deep rich red wine shade.

It is more playful, more weekend, more sexy … but not very suitable for office. It’s a little bit strong and not gentle enough for a working day. BUt if you are looking for something different – playful yet elegant, this maybe for you.

I like it! Youthful, playful, carefree, delicious! The add reminds me of Moschino Couture, perhaps it’s the girl’s haircut. The fragrance reminds me of Nina Ricci Les Belles de Ricci, the one with green bottle and pink cap. The bottle is along the Angle Innocent lines. I like it as it has a convenient shape for keeping in your hand bag. And the price is really good too.

This is not at all bad. I got it as a present, wasn’t impressed much at the scent, but I tried wearing it anyway and, though it smells a bit weird when sprayed, the drydown is a nice fruity and spicy scent. I probably wouldn’t buy this myself – I’d rather save up for something else as perfumes can be very pricy – but I’ll eventualy use it up and enjoy doing so.

I said I would not buy it again (rating wise) But that does not mean that I totally dislike it. At first spray it smells like kids grape medicine, but the drydown is a nice peppery purple scent.

I was intrigued when I saw this bottle in the store. I hadn’t heard of “Innocent Rock,” but I recognized the bottle and name, because the original ole Innocent is one of my favorites.
Oddly, I noticed that my usual SA was there and she discouraged me from trying this. She kept telling me, “It’s not really anything like Angel or Innocent.” I tried it on anyhow, and it’s actually rather horrible on me. My SA couldn’t remember what notes were in it, but I instantly picked out grape and pepper (she thought grapefruit and pepper). It smelled like sickly sweet grape soda that was somehow burnt on my skin. I think the black pepper lends an all around scorched quality to this fragrance. Burnt grape soda is just too strange for me. My fiance hated this and said it was making him sick.
My SA said they haven’t sold many “Innocent Rock” bottles, but then steered me over to “Alien Eau Luminescente,” which she said was quickly selling out. I wound up getting a bottle of that one (I liked the warm, soft, citrus-floral aspect of AEL & think it will be great for summer) instead of Innocent Rock. The bottle for IR is beautiful, but the scent is just awful to my nose.

I thought I would love this, but I didn’t. I’ve been unimpressed with Thierry Mugler’s latest perfumes so far (or it could just be the samples), like Innocent Illusion. Innocent Rock smells like a combination of grape soap and too much water. I do get the grape alcoholic drink smell on the dry down, but it’s so sweet and subtle, just way too boring and safe. It couldn’t smell any more cheap. I would never waste my money on a full bottle of this. Disappointing! Thierry Mugler should have just stopped when he made the original Innocent. Like the previous reviewer said, there’s just nothing special about it.
EDIT: It smelled completely different on my mom. Works for her chemistry better than mine! She gets a lot more prominent smell and more of the notes, very grapefruity with a bit of orange and a dash of black pepper. I hardly get any notes – on me it’s like a frame without a picture in it. I’m raising my rating to 2 instead of 1 because I like it on her!

Agree with the comments made by the reviewer below me. The top notes of this fragrance are a concoction of litchi and grape liqueur, and is undeniably scrumptious. Heart notes are red rose and black pepper which is quite nice but nothing outstanding. A pretty fragrance which IMO is only suitable for women under the age of thirty. There’s just nothing special about it, unlike the original Innocent which I adore.

I had stopped by the Mugler counter today to see if the Miroir Miroir scents were available here yet (they weren’t) and found this little beauty instead. I caught a glimpse of the bottle first and thought it might be a feminine counterpart to B-Men, what with the dark bottle/red star. I tried some on and was surprised to discover that Innocent Rock is quite similar to Yvresse (formerly Champagne by YSL), but somehow more modern, more young and ‘hip’. It was boozy, fruity and effervescent/spicy, had a bit of a dark ‘sparkle’ going on. It did not seem to evolve on me much, but now in the distant drydown, it is just a faintly sweet-smelling patch on the back of my hand. Tried unsuccessfully to find a reliable listing of notes online. Will update as they become available. I’d recommend Innocent Rock to those looking for something different. Not necessarily original, but different. I would consider buying this – the price seemed rather good for a Mugler scent. 4-lip, thumbs up!
