In the UK this summer people have been going mad for these body sprays, to the point where most places have completely sold out. I sprayed a tester of this in my local Superdrug and really loved it at the time but as it was sold out, it was a few more weeks before I could finally purchase a bottle. Once I did I was looking forward to it becoming my signature summer scent, as I remembered it being lovely and fresh with herby undertones (it smelt a little like basil to me). So imagine my disappoint when about five minutes after first spraying this, it started to take on the very distinct scent of cheap men’s body spray! The only one I can liken it to is Lynx Africa (Axe in the U.S.) which is the body spray a good proportion of the boys I knew as a teenager used – liberally – in the nineties! Needless to say I couldn’t continue using it as I just couldn’t abide the scent. I feel like this another one of those products that has gained a lot of hype through the powers of social media, none of which is really deserved or warranted.
