I can’t believe I found this one today forgotten on rhe shelf of a small cosmetics shop! I’m a fan of HP but the current formulation are rather laughable. Good Lord the Elixir is what perfume dreams are made of; deep, rich vanilla with loads of bitter almonds and the smoothest of woods along with amaretto and cherry liqueur. A darker version of the original Hypnotic Poison.
It smells like spicy vanilla on my skin; it’s mysterious, erotic and really warm. My boyfriend loves it.
However, it has been discontinued. (It’s only available online, where it gets hellishly expensive.)
Also the atomizer it comes with is there for aesthetic purposes only, don’t try to use it. I did. Half of my bottle leaked. Gutted.

I ADORE this perfume.
I am obsessed with rich, sexy, mysterious, and mellifluous scents. Licorice and Anise seed are very much off the beaten path as far as mainstream scents go, and the Elixir presents them without any hint of cloying sweetness.
Edit: I’m sort of over this perfume. It’s too out there and a lot of people I know instantly dislike it when they smell it on me. It reminds me of how sarsaparilla smells.

This scent is really beautiful! I took the chance and brought it of Strawberrynet before even trying it as i LOVE the original Hypnotic Poison, and i’m sooo happy i took the risk! At first the scent when you spray it on smells like the original, but once it dries down you can smell the licourice in it and its dark and sensual. A lovely scent for evening wear and being Eau de Parfum it’s longer lasting then the original Hypnotic Poison. A must buy for lovers of the original scent, you wont be disapointed!!!

This is a nice fancy bottle with an atomizer. The fragrance features licorice, star anise, jasmine and vanilla. To me it has a “dryer” scent than the original Hypnotic Poison. This one is warmer and darker.

WARNING to all who buy this perfume. The packaging is beautiful but truly rubbish when it comes to functionality. The bulb atomiser is not watertight. This is actually written inside the box in fine print but I never noticed this until the whole bottle leaked because it was tilted. The perfume would have probably evaporated with time anyway. A really good perfume but the bottle design is awful.
OK, the bulb atomiser has been DISCONTINUED and now HP Elixer comes in a normal spray bottle! Good job!

Hypnotic Poison is woody almond jasmine vanilla goodness and this is the amped version. Delightfully wickedly wonderful stuff- definitely more tenacious than the EDT .Worth the money for all you fans out there if you can get it !
