Sounds droolworthy right? Like something you’d want to spritz on yourself and snuggle up to someone in front of a log fire on a cosy winter evening. Well one spritz later and that’s pretty much where the fantasy ended for me! Truth is it smells nothing like hot cocoa or cream mixed together. Instead you have a nauseating mixture that to my nose is 30% a cocoa note and 70% vanilla. No cream, no ‘warmth’ that the name would imply. In short this does not smell good! Even the majority vanilla note in here is present in the most artificial and horrid way possible. Rarely do I feel the absolute need to wash a fragrance off but this was one of those exceptions! Luckily I tried it on my wrists and didn’t spritz over my hair or anything. Even as I’m typing this now I noticed the 3 oz bottle lying there on my shelf whilst I’m still figuring out what do with it (I hate wasting stuff) so I unscrewed the atomizer part and had another sniff to see if maybe I might feel different about it today. I don’t! This one is definitely not for me and I have no idea what use I can find for it, not even as a room spray! I’m aware B&BW fragrances normally don’t smell much like their namesake but this is not even about that, it’s just an awful smell period. I’ve heard the candle in this fragrance has a much more accurate cocoa and cream note but after my experience with the mist I’m probably going to give that one a miss.
