The smell of this is really nice. I am horrible at describing fragrances, I wish I was one of those who could describe the notes and such, but I’m not, sorry! I love vanilla very much. This is a nice vanilla, but with something special added to it. It’s not too strong, so I can put it on and not feel that I am offending anyone for the first hour like I do with some perfumes. But, and this is the downfall, it lasts for maybe an hour, and it’s gone. I can ask anyone around me if they can smell it, and after an hour, nobody can. (I run into this somewhat with Philosophy Pure Grace, except that at least clings to my clothes, so I have learned to spray that on my clothes rather than my skin. This doesn’t work that way.) So it’s not worth purchasing as far as I’m concerned. This is my first purchase of this brand, so I’m not sure if this is true of all of their fragrances or if it’s kind of hit or miss. The bottles appeal to me-I like the simplicity.

This is initially a sweet and pleasant vanilla fragrance with a depth to it that is much better than most drugstore generic vanilla fragrances. The strong sweetness lasts for an hour or two to be replaced with a more floral vanilla bean note. It’s not a bad fragrance, I wear it for work but there’s nothing sophisticated or particularly unique to it. I wouldn’t buy it again, not because I don’t like it, but because I have fragrances that I prefer over this one. However, if I received as a gift or as part of a swap then I wouldn’t be disappointed.
