Not my fave of the Pacifica line but they d/c’ed my beloved Brazilian Mango Grapefruit.
HRG is much sweeter and a bit ambery underneath. Lasts longer than Malibu Lemon Blossom which is very, very light.
Good but not great.
I fear the perfume line is going away as Pacifica focuses more and more on skin care.

This was the first purchase I made from Pacifica. I was looking for alternatives to my usual high-end fragrances when I came across this. The packaging is what caught my attention, it’s bright and very cute!
I think it’s a light, fruity scent. I love how long lasting it is. I can spray it on in the morning and still smell it on my clothes in the evening. I got a lot of compliments on this as well. The price is great!!
Overall, I really like this scent. It is not going to work for everyone though, just like any other scent.

Love Pacifica’s beautiful branding/packaging and their reasonably priced, easily transportable rollerball fragrances. Indian Coconut Nectar is my favorite for warmer weather and Sugared Amber Dream is my favorite in cooler weather.
Pacifica describes this fragrance, Hawaiian Ruby Guava, as “a tropical blend of sweet juicy guava and citrusy pomello come to life in a base of subtle coconut. The scent of the South Pacific.” It starts off as sunny fruit notes balanced with hints of florals that are reminiscent of a warm/tropical scent. However, at least with my skin chemistry, shortly after the liquid dried it smelled distinctively like baby oil (not good). A bit later, the scent shifted again to smelling strongly of chemicals/alcohol. Although at first sniff/application, it was a pleasant, summery scent, as the fragrance settled it became so unpleasant that I had to go wash it off. I might have got a one-off batch, or it may just be my personal interpretation/reaction to the perfume, but I did not end up liking or keeping it.

Fun, mouth-watering tropical scent. The scent is a pretty linear juicy guava with a hint of grapefruit, something you might normally expect in a shower gel or candle. It’s a nice tropical alternative to your typical coconut/pineapple summer scent. I have this in the rollerball version, and I love that you can buy different formats at various price points. Pacifica is not all-natural, but they do not contain phthalates and they are cruelty-free. They also offer some unique fragrances at an affordable price.

Ruby Guava is cute, festive and silly. A tropical body wash type of scent with more umph than a body mist but the same type of abstract fruity vibe. I have the rollerball, which I wish would release more liquid with one swipe, but that’s not a huge deal.
I love scents like these and this one is strong. It doesn’t last as long as a designer edp, but it has more longevity than a body mist and projects pretty far.
Though it doesn’t exactly smell super realistic, it does smell more natural/ high quality than an Escada summer release or an edp from Bath and Bodyworks. I think the rollerball is an ample amount of this for anyone to want. It’s quite sweet and a little goes a long way. The drydown is soft and creamy due to the coconutty base and it never turns sharp or cheap. I can definitely see the tropical fruit milkshake comparisons on other sites.
This puts some color in my face after a dreary rainy winter. Just in time for Mardi Gras.

I have this scent in the rollerball version. I was looking for a nice fruity scent for summer and came across this at my local health food store. I debated between this and the Tuscan Blood Orange scent but decided on HRG since it seemed to last a little longer on me. This is a terrific warm weather fragrance – it does have a guava and berry type of scent with bit of tropical floral mixed in. The floral note is more apparent when it is first applied – then after 4 hours or so it dries down to a faint berry scent. The description says it has a Pomelo citrus note, which I do smell a bit, and a coconut base, which I don’t get at all. In any case it is a nice grown up version of a fruity scent. The only slight disappointment for me is the lasting power, which seems to be a general complaint about the Pacifica fragrances – though it lasts longer on me than some of the other scents I’ve tried from this line. I compensate by applying more generously that I normally would. This way it lasts at least 6-7 hours on me before I need to reapply. I would still buy this again, and the packaging on all of these perfumes is gorgeous!

This is almost my HG fragrance. I didn’t love the scent until I actually applied it to my skin. Then, I loved it. I find that a lot of fragrances are very – obvious – on me. Even scents that compliment my skin just don’t seem to “settle.” I always feel like *I’m* not wearing the scent, the scent is wearing *me.* Many scents that I love actually smell the same on my skin as they do on a test strip or in the bottle. So, imagine my surprise that this gem actually settled into my skin and, as the package promised, worked with my body chemistry to create a unique scent…similar to, but not exactly like what I smelled in the bottle. I tried the Hawaiian Ruby Guava on one wrist and the Tuscan Blood Orange scent on the other. They both smelled amazing and unique to me. Also, for what may be the first time ever, I felt like I was wearing the scent, not the other way around! I ended up purchasing the rollerball form of the Hawaiian Ruby Guava and plan to go back to purchase other scents. My one and only complaint is that the rollerball version has like 0 staying power. I applied a heavy layer to both inner forearms before dinner, and by the time I got home 2 hours later, I could barely detect any scent. By the third hour, there was no scent left at all. I guess I will just have to reapply frequently or try layering with the matching body butter. **Side note: Although I didn’t purchase this product because it’s cruelty free, all natural, eco friendly, and SUPER CHEAP – those are some awesome added bonuses 😀

Way too sweet and cloying on me. Super long lasting! But unfortunately it gives me a headache

I love this product! Admittedly I have the roll on, not the spray but I am assuming they are similar if not the same. I roll a dab behind my neck and a bit in my cleavage and am left with a light sweet sugary, fresh citrusy scent that mingles with my body chemistry. I love subtle scents as I find a scent is sexier if one must be closer to actually smell it. Mixing this with the Pacifica’s solid in Island Vanilla is also fun.
Scent is a very personal thing and it really does come down to personal preference, so a review is hard to do. I will say that the roll on is quite nice, it has no heavy alcohol scent to it when first applied and the sweetness is nice, not cloying, sickly nor reminiscent of a thirteen year old’s perfume collection. I would also say it lasts a decent amount of time. It gets lighter as the day progresses, but I like that. I cant stand being bathed in a cloud of other’s women’s perfume and rather not subject others to similar.

I don’t believe that I should review this product based on fragrance- I think scent is a personal preference and wouldn’t recommend/not recommend a product due to scent.
I have this in body wash, spray, body butter, and roll-on. I’ve always appreciated the “flighty” scent of this perfume, as it seems to be a perfect summer scent- of course, I’ll use it in any season as long as I like it. I’ve only worn the spray once, so take this with a grain of salt: I sprayed it on around 5:50 A.M and thought it disappeared around 9:00 A.M. Not too shabby, and I feel like fragrances have suddenly started dissipating on me quickly anyway. :c I will most likely purchase this in the solid perfume to keep it on me longer, as well.
