I am not one for florals, and i primarily bought this because of the name.
This is very flowery and green. Its a white flowers smell, lilies and a little bit of gardenias, stems/leaves.
If you are looking for a floral that doesn’t have that overwhelming faux roses in it, this would be the one to get.
It is very unique, being a floral with green and “clean” undertones.
Since my other perfumes (cocoas, chocolate, and light musks) seem to offend my female friends/family (none of them seem to like chocolate smells) primarily, i wear this one to appease them.
For the price, i think the Demeter line is great, its a great way to have a decent sized bottle of fragrance that is unique and noticeable compared to the popular perfumes worn by my coworkers and peers.

Of course I bought this because of the name. It would be worth displaying on one’s dressing table for that alone! I liked the musty floral in the bottle, but didn’t dare to try it on me until this morning. I love it. Not for everyone but if your idea of heaven (no pun intended) is an antiquarian bookshop or an antique store, or curling up with a Gothic novel while the rain drips outside your window, you should try this.

I love this stuff! I use it as room spray because to me it smells like an old Victorian house. It conjures up images of sorting through dusty boxes in an attic, finding turn-of-the-century pictures of great-grandparents, forgotten love letters, old dresses. It smells like dusty old roses, and a room full of furniture that is covered in drop cloths. There aren’t many fragrances out there that bring to mind such a specific set of images and feelings. Cool idea!! I’m always amazed at Demeter’s ability to capture an experience in a bottle.
