Although I knew from the reviews this scent is fruity, I was totally surprised how accurate description that is! The scent teeters peculiarly on the edge of sweetness so that it captures perfectly the scent of a ripe fig without being sickly. I was also suprised by the quality of this eau fraiche – you get a scent that stands on its own without fading straight away into a generic base note. I have been recently disappointed in many more expensive perfumes and I’m happily surprised to get this much quality for 15 euros.

I adore this perfume. This reminds me of holidays in Italy. The first fig fragrance I tried was in Sorrento a few years ago. Buy this – you will not be disappointed.

This fragrance of Roger & Gallet is really exquisite and delicious – really worth mentioning and the best of all R&G scents in my opinion. It’s not too sugary, not too floral – just right. and I have to say that got tons on compliments when wearing that one. In addition to fig fruits & blossoms, it contains the scent of tangerine blossoms and some slightly creamy & woody notes, but the woody scent is very discreet, it’s a predominatley fruity/floral scent. I don’t know anyone who did not like it, so give it a try!

I love it! It reminds me somehow of Eclat D’arpege, but not the first notes, the last ones! But this parfume has pretty strong staying power unlike for LAnvin eclat, I like that I can smell it on myself all day. it is fresh and unique

My ratings don’t properly reflect how much I like this scent just because I cannot leave aside all the other “real” fragrances I rated before. But this is also why I question myself now how much of a fragrance “snob” I am. Last weekend only I went out of Lutens’ shop in Paris with – finally! – Iris Silver Mist (for the deadly price of Eur 130 of course) and since then during the week, I tried, again, to understand this fragrance that puzzles me since so long and which I love but find it hard to grasp and wear. But this weekend, I step in a pharmacy and waiting in line I sniff Fleurs de Figuier, just to pass the time. Result, instant addiction, 2 bottles snapped on spot and since then I am almost bathing myself in this scent, so easy, so beautiful, so light, so happy, so sunny vacation bliss without any mysterious dark side that my Lutens(es) and “Blacks” and all the other “serious stuff” are quitely “forgotten” on their shelf. This is pure bliss in a bottle, but yet not that simple, creamy figue leaves sprinkled with concentrated citrus caramel, one blackcurrant added on top and lightly dusted by a few grains of dark wood. Of course, the name of the famous father of this scent, if you know it before trying it, may lead you to say “yes, surely this makes sense”, but my own conclusion is, famous father or not, you definitely dont always need to go in exclusive niche fragrances or old-world ones or ones with prices that ask for a savings plan: some are just there to be enjoyed and loved on spot, without reason, like a sunny day.

After finishing a small bottle of Fleur de Figuier and considering to repurchase I deleted my previous review since I found it inaccurate.
I love fig perfumes in summertime and this is one of my favourites. The other one is Philosykos for its crisp, bright and milky quality. Premier Figuier by L`Artisan was a bit ”dusty” and Un Jardin En Mediterranee too green.
Fleur de Figuier is the sweetest of them all. It’s juicy and citrusy in the opening as well. The woody and green notes are just enough to ground it without overshadowing the mandarin/grapefruit and the fig that steal the show.
Sillage and longevity aren’t the greatest but still decent. For the price you can get the body lotion too which is lightweight, non sticky and strongly scented to layer. Overall it’s a very well done vibrant, cheerful and sweet/juicy fig. If it was a color, well… it would be a whole rainbow.

my favorite fig fragrance in the world. I love it because it is not as intensely green and woodsy as most other fig scents. Fleur de Figuier opens with a refreshing blend of sappy fig flowers and musk. It is green and sweet and leafy, but also light – it feels as though you are standing downwind of a fig grove that is in bloom. The drydown becomes more musky as it evolves but the evolution is short. This is definitely one you’ll need to refresh often because longevity is one area where it is lacking. If that is a pet peeve for you, move along from this scent. Here is another issue: Molinard appears to have replaced Fleur de Figuier with an updated Fig scent. I haven’t tried it, but the description sounds like they reformulated it. *Cue the wailing and gnashing of teeth*
Actually, it’s not a huge tragedy because you can get Fleur de Figuier online for about $30. At that price, I can afford to spritz with abandon.

I’m trying this from a decant so can’t really comment on packaging. While this doesn’t compare with the ur-fig Philosykos, it’s an interesting winter alternative. I’m getting a noticeable tobacco note coming through which reduces the overall greenness and freshness. It’s quite pleasant.

It definitely smells like fig, not as green as Premier Figuier Extreme, which I own. Apart from the fig all I can catch is a hint of vanilla combined with a tobaccoish smell. Is this how the flowers of fig smell? Until I smell a real living fig flower my mental picture of this fragrance would remain that of a fig, still with a bit of its stem on, sitting on a few sheets of vanilla flavoured tobacco leaves.
IMHO a rather interesting combo. And the three main notes that I spotted works seamlessly together, but somehow I don’t feel that they belong together.

For the moment, I cannot afford either Philosykos or Premier Figuier. Way too expensive. Since I absolutely LOVE fig frags, I stumbled upon this one during my search on the internet. It sells for $19.99 at Amazon.com (100 ml, EDT; it’s s tester bottle so it’s uncapped – who cares). I love, love, love it. It does smell like figs. It reminds me of my sister’s orchard (she lives in the south of France). For an EDT it lasts quite a bit. It’s sweet but green and fresh at the same time. I do recommend it.

if i could give this a 3.5, i would. i also said i wouldn’t repurchase, but i’m not sure. i’m undecided about this fragrance. instead of figginess, i smell more grass and wildflower to this. dry grass, like walking through a field in late march or early april, with the snow all gone and the ground cool and muddy, the grass not fully green yet. i like this layered with vanilla and i think it would be nice layered with other things too – haven’t experimented fully. the lasting quality is excellent and the blue molinard bottle is very pretty, and this was a great buy from perfumeport.com for under ten dollars. i’d like to try some other molinard provence scents as well.

First, this DOES smell like figs, or the accord commonly agreed to be figs. I can easily trace the line between philosykos, l’artisan figs, various fig products. Second, this scent privileges the wood aspect of the fig, plus a vanillic/ambric/musky sweetness in the base. It is primarily dry, however, with a long drydown and good lasting power. All that said, no, I wouldn’t get another bottle, but not because of anything inherently wrong with this fragrance. The problem is that something about the note of fig doesn’t work for me. I don’t loath it, but I don’t like it. If I HAD to wear a fig fragrance, this would be it. I’ve even voluntarily, with pleasure, put this on my skin, primarily because of it’s woody dryness. But the fig note is there and while not aggressive, or pesky, it doesn’t quite sit right with me. As with all Molinards, the packaging, quality, and overall production values supurb.

This is on my to-buy list. For now, I’m working on a sample.
This isn’t overly figgy, but the fig is there, and it is a warm, gentle floral with a bit of green from the fig to my naive sniffer. I smell something like vanilla or caramel at the base.
