Years ago I worked with a girl who wore this and I became totally addicted to it. It’s mostly described a having floral notes…I usually go for spice, but this is a blend of all that is good. Yes, it totally is a winter/evening scent. It’s the only one that men have commented on – in a good way! You do have to be careful and don’t drown in it. I have tried and tried to come up with another fragrance to wear during the day – more casual and I did buy a couple. Trouble is, to me, nothing compares. I just feel RICH when I wear it.

My “HG” fragrance for going out. I love that this scent smells expensive and it wears very well and is buildable–try spraying it over First lotion. It is classy and classic. I will keep buying this unless it is ever discontinued.

I was a sixteen when I first sniffed First at a department store. It smelled of mink coats, coiffed hair and red lipstick. It remained in my mind as the epitome of what womanly perfume should smell like. It remained in my mind as the perfume that ‘set the bar’. I never grow tired of it. I can only say that of a tiny handful of fragrances. I can go weeks, months, years even, without wearing it yet, the moment I smell it, I fall in love all over again. Like Chanel No.19, my other lifelong favourite, it has no age. You can dress up or dress down and it never fails to make me feel pretty and lift my spirits surrounding me in a sense of wellbeing. It has a similar soignee vibe like 24 Faubourg EdT.
