Where to start. Used it 15 years ago and forgot about it. Went to buy it and couldn’t BELIEVE the price increase AND was disappointed they only had the large size. Somehow I managed to get a travel size. Enough to satisfy me, but I will have to hoard it and only use it once in a while. Teacher salary days.

Fantasia de fleurs is a beautiful vintage floral which belts out a powerful blast of rose and iris but then settles into a delicate, attractive, powdery and elegant floral fragrance, which is refined, exceedingly classy, quality ingredients in a bottle, it isn’t heavy, or over powering , and by no means a “grandma” scent (at least in my opinion). It’s amazing that the formulation for this one is over 150 years old. The formulation is classic, sophisticated, and is still a classic today, a beautiful and complex fragrance. This works very well with my body chemistry, I also get a lot of complements on this one, I love it!

A soft, lovely floral. Elegant and beautiful like all other.
Creed fragrances. I just likebigger, heavier fragrances that make a statement.

Not sure why it has taken me so long to review this… ah, better late than never… Fantasia de Fleur is hands down my #1 fave perfume. Yes its pricey, but its worth it- 2.5 oz runs about $250.00/ 8 oz I believe is $380.00 through reputable retailers. In spite of price, nothing else out there even comes close to comparison; the scent is that unique and heavenly. While I can’t stand the generic and overpowering scent of roses in my perfumes, I am a sucker for anything with essence of Tuberose- and that, along with iris and other rare yet subtle florals are middle notes. There is also Amber and Bergamot, but it is in no way overpowering. I also get a rich and sweet fruit base, I want to say something similar to white grapes? That’s all I can compare it to. This is not an everyday perfume, but definitely a night and special event scent. If you are a fan of Coco Mademoiselle, Gucci Flora and the like, Fantasia is not to be dismissed.

Creed fragrances are outrageously expensive, but very often the price is justified by adding that “*insert famous person here* wore/wears it.” The line has existed for 250 years and has been worn by royalty, movie stars, presidents, and more.
Fantasia de Fleur was worn by the Empress Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary. She lived in the 19th century. Unfortunately, to the nose of a young person living in the 21st century, this fragrance doesn’t smell regal so much as it does OLD. And I don’t mean old as in 1870’s, I mean old as in 1980’s – very pejorative description for a perfume. This is loud, floral, and unapologetic – just as an Empress should smell – but the modern nose doesn’t read it that way.
That being said, I think if applied with a light hand, it is a nice change on my skin from the more easily-identified Chanel/Gucci/Hermes/Chloe I usually wear. I indicated I would not purchase this again, but I’ll keep buying occasional sample vials on eBay until I can really decide whether this is worth the splurge. A bottle can be bought for under $100 on eBay as well, but I just don’t know yet if Sissi can redeem this fragrance for me.

Beautiful, heavy, rich rose fragrance with iris in the middle notes and ambergris (rare thing these days) in the drydown. I cannot stop sniffing my wrist while I am writing this review. It seems simple and complicated at the same time, very unique. Sweet, rich and lavish – excessive but also comfortable like a snuggly blanket. Wonderful!

Perfectly-named–this is a larger-than-life rose, brilliantly-colored. Not as naturalistic as Fleur de The Rose Bulgare, not as staid as Fleurs de Bulgarie. The weird resemblance to tomatoes a previous reviewer noted is also evident–I was thinking, “Why does this make me think of ketchup? And why don’t I mind?” Took off a point because there’s a certain harshness to it (until the far drydown) that I associate with 80’s fragrances.

This is my favorite Creed scent, with Jasmal a close second.
This is a beautiful floral bouquet that is soft and warm, just how I like florals. My only complains is that it doesn’t last long enough, the drydown is pretty but very soft. Needs to be replenished every couple of hours.

I was at an event at Neiman Marcus, and I was introduced for the first time to Creed fragrances. I most say I was very impressed by majority of them. Even thou I did not liked them all, smelling them did not caused any headaches. This fragrance I feel is a little strong and it lasts all day. To me is hard to describe it. It is definitely a floral scent, but not in a sacking way. On me it smells amazing! I had to have it. My first impression when smelling is that it remained me of winter/fall kind of fragrance. This is perfect for this time of the year. However I do not feel I will be using this for my everyday fragrance. I could wear it, but some of my co-workers hate perfumes, and this one I feel is stronger. For respect to them I won’t be wearing it everyday.
I got a sample of the Virgin Islands one, which was the other one I really liked. But it is more summery. I probably am getting that one in the spring.
I think fragrances are so personal, and they also smell different on every person. Therefore, all I can say is that the quality of these creed fragrances is above and beyond many out there and I highly recommend you checking these out.

I’m so glad to see Paschat is back! I often look for her reviews. Anyway, this is another scent that I plan to revisit as fall approaches. I really liked this in the past and yet not quite enough to add it to my collection. It reminds me of the Victorian era (in a good way) and brings to mind burgundy colored velvet. It’s pretty, it’s smooth and I find it a little old fashioned yet not dated, if that makes sense. I think it was reformulated in the latter part of the 20th century-based on a fragrance that was made some 150 years previous (and worn by Austrio-Hungarian monarchy).
