I wasn’t sure what to rate this perfume as I go through phases of liking it more and less! The first thing I need to say is that I was given this by a collegue who didn’t really like it so it’s obviously not for everyone! When you first spray, it is a very overpowering essential oils kind of smell. Woody/Earthy rather than floral, very different to most perfumes on the high street. This is what attracted me to it as I love using essential oils. I find this SO uplifting on a dark rainy morning. I think it’s more of a winter fragrance, and I feel like I use it more as a mood enhancer – for myself – rather than as a perfume as it’s definitely not everyone’s cup of tea! I can only recommend you try it on in store, and see if you like it – give it a chance to settle. In summary, I don’t think I would have bought this myself for £49 so I didn’t feel happy rating it 4 or 5 lipsticks, but I do use it and I like having it as a gift. I would definitely try it out before investing!

This is a stunning perfume and one that will get you lots of compliments. It starts with a burst of citrus and then a lovely floral fragrance. I like this because it does not smell like any other perfume. I love Liz’s No 15 and 100 also. The No 1 is great for hot summer days or when you feel like a pick me up so is good for mornings when its cold and raining. Does not last that long on the skin so I spray it over my head and on my clothes and I can smell it all day.

Like a previous reviewer, I bought this then wondered whether I really liked it, but when I stopped wearing it I missed the light natural fragrance which is really subtly uplifting. Not a strong scent, but a lovely summer daytime choice.
Beautiful packaging, but can be hard to get out of the box which I keep it in to keep out the light

It’s clean and fresh with a posh mellowness that melts on your skin. A full bodied “feel good” fragrance that makes you wanna say “ahhhh” with every sprits. Quite possibly a great year around fragrance but, I think the steamer the better! This frag has just the right amount of herbiness (just a bit) that gives it that superb down to earth quality.

For me this perfume is amazing, it gives you a ‘fresh out the shower smell’. I find it stays on for a long time which is a huge plus, 2 sprays of this and it will last all day.
I really like this perfume and I will be buying this again once I have ran out (which is a while away!) 🙂

Unfortunately I bought this without smelling it as was it meant to have a very similar scent to the facial toner which I love, but unfortunately I did not like the scent at all. More like old granny’s fragrance. I work in the aviation industry and often get very nice comments on the fragrance I wear from passengers and colleagues, but when I wore this, I never received any positive comments and on the top of this my husband HATES the smell of this and he never said that about any of my other ones before. “Unfortunately”, I have recently dropped this and the bottle had shattered all over the floor, even though it was still almost full. Maybe it was meant to be. I like all the other Liz Earle products, but definitely not this one, but hey everybody is different. Will never repurchase!

I really wanted to like this as it seems some thought has been put into it but to me it just smells exactly like a fragrance Clarins used to do called elysium. It’s fresh and pleasant but I was just walking around thinking I was wearing a copy of a fragrance i sort of liked ten years ago. Try it though, it could be for you. Too expensive for many people.

Received a sample of this and it is fresh and summery -felt all day like I’d smelt it somewhere before and realised it smells just like Clarin’s Eau Dynamisante – though I think this one has a bit more staying power. Nice and pleasant but the Clarins is cheaper and comes in a fabulous shower mousse.

Before I start you must always bear in mind, perfume is a personal preference and subject to our individual body chemistry. For the last 4 weeks I have been using this in the hope of falling in love with it as I am a huge Liz Earle devotee. At first I thought that this scent is just not for me and I was surprised I did not take to it straight away, in fact I was unimpressed and was not planning on buying the 50ml bottle. I am not bothered it does not smell like any of her other products, frankly I would prefer they come up with new scents as they have done and not be pressured into replicating the Instant Boost tonic or Orange Flower body wash (as much as I love them). But then when I did wear it, I noticed how I had missed the smell around me and when I caught it on my scarf I felt immediately uplifted. I was struck by how much I had changed my mind about this fragrance.
First spritz and it is a true, sharp, sparkling lemon citrus hit with a musky undertone (I am presuming the Orange?) and then it dries down to something more aromatic. Initially it smells just like a blend of O de Lancome and Decleor’s Aroma Tonic fragrance. I urge anyone interested to try it themselves (either by sample spray or in store: John Lewis concessions or their own store in London) and not be deterred by the negative responses on here or on QVC for example. It does last all day (contrary to some reviews) and I welcomed the changes in its notes as it mellowed from the citrus hit to the warmer base notes.
My husband bought this for me as a pre-Christmas treat after he saw my reaction to spraying it in store! The 50ml bottle is gorgeous and simple and the lovely box it comes in is unique way of storing and protecting the scent – it looks very pretty on my dressing table! The 50ml bottle costs GBP 39.50 (as of December 2009).

Ok so i havent actually brought this item but i sprayed a bit in the shop and it was definetly not what i expected. I was expecting the sweet floral fragrance that every other Liz Earle product offers but instead after a few minutes the perfume smells like old lady perfume. Its disgusting and for £40 its not worth it!
