The bottle is totally a grown-up-girls’ throwback to a heady girliness of yesteryears. It is a beautiful, oriental-floral. Im terrible at describing scents, but the first whiff of this & I picture being in an expensive boutique with vases of oversized flowers, the floral scents just filled the air. Maybe it’s the plush sofa, maybe it’s the luxury goods pompous on display…With a strong opening of slightly vanilla rose, then it became a comforting familiar scent of a good floral…I wear this to work on happy days, it psyched me think im some kind of esteemed, learnt woman ever so graceful yet ruled with a quiet charm. Whatever it is, it’s just beautiful. Lasts til late afternoon too.

me encanta tambien! Encuentro que es muy elegante..me recuerda un poco a Amarige de Givenchy , pero mucho mejor.

White flowers, quite heady, warm, sweet. It’s beautifully, classically balanced, you don’t see – or rather smell – that very often these days. Reminds me of 80s classics. It’s not trying to be trendy or hip. It’s just … nice, which can be a relief!
Lasts well enough.
But when did Penhaligon,s become so overpriced?

Sweet tart candy tuberose blooming lushly and dusted with yellow pollen, spiked with crisp green notes. This is very lovely, though it does tend to sweeten a lot on me (my skin amplifies sweet notes something fierce). Great spring scent.

Well i happen to be a newbie to the penhaligon’s line, later on i read that they created ellenisia and another one that smells fab as well, to attract more ppl to buy their stuff.
I must say they did a great job creating this one, it has everything i love in a perfume.
When i was on vacation i got an oppertunity to get a sample and tried it out, the composition of this scent is not outstanding but the smell is IMO! since im a fan of floral scents i knew it was love @ first smell!!
After that i couldn’t stop thinking about this gorgeous perfume, i got to have it so i ended up buying a bottle on ebay
good job penhaligon’s , you got yourself another fan ;-p

This is a light, dainty, gardenia scent which smells playful and fun. This normally doesn’t suit me, but at times when I want to feel more feminine and special, this will definitely do.

I was drawn to this one as a Fracas fanatic wanting to explore other tuberose possibilities. Rather than the decadent creaminess of Fracas, Ellenisia seems to me a lush green take on white flowers. I get a tuberose that is made dewy and transparent (by the violet and mandarin?), rather than the rich, carnal, ‘after dark’ tuberose of Fracas. In the drydown I smell pears, but with any potential fruity sharp edges rounded off by vanilla (without the scent becoming sugary). I see Ellenisia as a lighter, easier, for-all-occasions take on tuberose.

This smells 99% like Chanel Gardenia in Les Exclusifs line. It is not a bad thing but I just do not like anything short of originality.

This is a very pretty sweet summer scent. A white floral with jasmine, gardinia and underlying tuberose. Having worn Fracas parfum for a long time, I was completely sick of tube. Even smelling it on other people made me feel nausea. I am glad to say though, that unlike the anthologie scent, gardenia, this can be absolved of the Fracas Lite charge. It IS sweet and it has tuberose but it does not sicken. It is not my fav Penhaligons scent, which would be Bluebell, but I would purchase again, and it had body cream to match though I could not get bath oil

I first sampled this fragrance in early winter and every since then I was not able to get it out of my mind. I have received multiple samples from the stores as I guess I was trying to convince myself that I did not need it. Finally this week I have broken down and purchased it so I guess it is time to write a review.
I find this to be a very well balanced gardenia fragrance. A superb white floral with and added touch of Jasmin and Tuberose. I was not able to sense any of the Violet but upon application the citrus mandarin note was present but not too harsh as to disturb the delicate and soothing nature of this scent. Not at all loud but also not lacking in originality. I did not give this 5 lippies as I think the lasting power could have been a bit better.
