I very much love this scent! I am a newbie when it comes to BPAL: my extreme distaste for mainstream perfumes has resulted in my needing to look elsewhere – ultimately leading me to BPAL. I ordered 7 imps, and while I have not tried all 9 yet (plus the 2 free extras), Eden is wonderful and I am seriously considering purchasing a full-sized bottle.
On myself, the scent pulls sweet figs, milk and honey, and a bit of an incense; sweet, yet earthy – reminiscent of left-over burnt incense. I often dislike sweet scents, but the incense keeps the perfume from getting too “foody.” While sweet, the scent remains very clean: it is not sticky by any means.
My only complaint: the packaging for the imp’s ears is quite messy. The perfume oil can often get all over your hands if opened roughly; I learned the hard way! Would much prefer a screw-top lid rather than a plug-style vial, but accidents are perfectly avoidable if handled with care :).

In Vial: Mostly Honey
Wet: Still mostly honey. As it dries I am beginning to smell the coconut.
Drydown: This is mostly all honey on me. The coconut has faded. I think I get a hint of fig or either the sandlewood in the background. It is hard to tell. I did not get any almond.

wanderlust.
notes: fig leaf, fig fruit, honeyed almond milk, toasted coconut and sandalwood.
in the vial: ooooheee! i definitely smell the dry, woodiness of the fig leaf, sweetness from the fig, sweet almond and a wallop of toasty coconut. the balance smells a bit different every time a get a whiff. sometimes the fig is predominant, sometimes the coconut is predominant. very sweet, but in a good and dry way.
wet on skin: smells pretty much the same as it does in the vial (thats always a good thing!) really, really beautiful and calming. its very strong, and repeated close sniffs take it into an overwhelming territory, but its probably just me. i still 99% like it at this point.
dry down: predominantly toasty coconut with wood and a bit of fruitiness in the background. it steers into fruity territory, and finishes with toasty wood. definitely not foody. to coconut is the same exact note as in perversion, one of my BPAL favorites. totally delicious.
verdict: after a few days of resampling and reviewing random imps picked from my stash, i chose this one purely for the name. i needed a break from anything strong or bizarre, and this did not disappoint.

It’s nothing but almond and I *hate* almond. Eve in the Garden of Eden it is not.

I just got a bunch of imps and this is my first one to try….I really like this but I love fig, coconut and almonds…

Site Description: At the center of the Garden of Eden stands the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Though modern interpretations of the Bible claim that it was an apple that the Serpent of the Tree offered to Eve, it is widely believed that the true Fruit of True Knowledge was, in fact, a fig. This oil contains the innocence of the Garden, coupled with the Truth and Erudition found in the fruit of the Tree of Evil: fig leaf, fig fruit, honeyed almond milk, toasted coconut and sandalwood.
At first sniff, I can smell the honeyed almond milk – and it smells divine! As for the dry down, I can smell a smidge of coconut – but mostly sandalwood.
It sort of has a weird potporri thing going on. I would not repurchase.

At first I get a herbal fennel seed, (almost like aniseed, or star anise, but more like wet rotting vegetation than spiced chai). It reminds me of mens herbal aftershave. After a while it softens (but never goes away), and dries down to a pleasant spiced vanilla honey powder with hints of herbal shampoo. It reminds me of Samsara, but I find the added fennel smell a little weird and off putting. Lasts a long time and good projection.
Type – Powdery Floriental
Top Notes – mandarin, peach, bergamot, lemon
Heart Notes – water lily, tuberose, mimosa, jasmine, rose, lily-of-the-valley, pineapple, melon
Base Notes – sharp patchouli, cedar, sandalwood, tonka bean.

This fragrance is so unusual in the sweetness. It has a lingering and mature sweetness I adore.Eden really does have an ayre of juicy fruits and flowers and unbelievable freshness (without smelling like cucumber…which I hate) I only discovered it a couple years ago in a quaint frangrance store heading into liquidation and bought 50% off.
It truly is an innocent scent no strings attached… And the best thing it doesn’t change but becomes softer with a lingering warm powdery juicy scent.Quite “Unreal” .Hope you love it !!

Interesting and obviously polarizing scent. It reminds me quite a bit of Gucci’s Rush or even Giorgio. Remember those heady days? This is for the independent woman on a cool spring Saturday, when you are doing whatever it is you truly love. Possibly even working, as long as you are a consultant, not an employee. This is mostly not for the office and probably not for romance. The appeal is hard to describe but it does have one. I think 2 sprays is enough which is why I said no repurchase. I only wear it on occasion and I will surely not run out in this lifetime. This is a scent I really think everyone should try, especially if you like the aforementioned perfumes.

Hmmm I so wanted to love this!!! It is dusty, dry, fusty patch. A bit green, but dry green—not lush wet green. I’m disappointed but thankfully I only bought a mini. I’ll give it one more wearing—possibly–but if it doesn’t work then my 2015 resolution says I have to kick it to the curb.
EDIT: Ok I put a few more dabs on last night and really paid attention to how it developed and dried down…this is still not full bottle worthy for me, but it IS a very interesting scent. I’ll keep the mini but will not invest in more of it. It did get a bit sweeter as it developed on my skin, but still remained very green and very dry. Mossy is a great description. It was *almost* unpleasant, but something kept it from being totally unwearable. I’m guessing that’s the mimosa that I actually caught whiffs of. I can see myself occasionally reaching for this. Not worth a repurchase.

Oh!!!! seeing Eden being discontinued is breaking my heart!
I have really fallen in love with this perfume. And I´m 17! So so sad :´(
I never buy discontinued or limited edition stuff just because of that reason. Just do not want to fall in love with something that will be gone.
Tho I didn’t know that Eden was being discontinued when I bought it. I have seen it all over the airports and I can for now easily get my hands on it 😉 some hope at least .. ^-^
The Perfume;
Floral! Powdery! And a green sweetness to it…
I am a floral lover like no other. So this was a hit for me. But I will say, this isn’t like the other mainstream sweet florals. That I actually think is quite boring.
Eden is that powdery warmth floral with a shady feeling.
Last of all…Not for every one! Almost like angel at that aspect, you ether love it or hate it ^-^

A real perfume for real women, powerfull and very very feminine but in a deep way. A little goes a long way.

This fragance is long long lasting, is the type of classic perfume…for me is a little strong, more that what I like…my mum use it and is very suitable for her, but not for me

IF RIHANNA WAS BROKE
Ok so as usual I always get into spending trouble when I do my laundry and this weekend was no exception. I went to my local beauty supply store to pick up yet another hair conditioner when my eyes came across a matte red lipstick from NYX called Eden. If you’re like me you don’t need another red lipstick- YOU WANT ANOTHER RED LIPSTICK LOL.
This red lipstick packs a mean punch. Color payoff-1 swipe on your lips and you’re good. It’s such a clean bright red! I would put it up against My MAC Ruby and RIRI WOO yup I said it…
Texture-creamy for it to be a matte lipstick.
Application for me it’s a dream.
Before I apply my lipstick I do make sure my lips are well hydrated cause I want my lip color to last as long as it can. Next I apply a anti-feathering lip primer and as usual I let it cook. Next I line my lips with either a red lip pencil or a flesh tone lip pencil and then I apply the lipstick. I don’t bother blotting my lips cause I like full color impact lol.
My co workers -especially the boys – I wore it to work on Monday loved it.
This red lipstick made my lips look juicy and who don’t want juicy lips.
If Rihanna was broke she would be all over this red I’m so sure. U know what … I’m going to wear it all week because It’s such a fun color to rock.

When it comes to this perfume the best word to read beside it is “Discontinued”. Huzzah! Heavy, stifling, choking, impossible to wash of! There is only 1 perfume I hate more than this but Eden is snapping at its heals. Unfortunately the other perfume is still going strong but at least Cacharel have made my dreams come true with Eden’s fate.
Eden – Discontinued.
Eden – Discontinued.
Eden – Discontinued.
Ahhh, I’ll never get tired of seeing that.

Oh dear..I wanted so much to like this. After reading the other reviews I made a blind purchase. I am usually not difficult to please. I sprayed one spray of this and it smelt like something wet and moldy. Not believing my nose I sprayed again and now it smelt like rotting fruit overlaid onto a moldy wet towel. You know the smell of a towel that has not dried properly and develops that horrible odor over time…this is it..I promptly took a shower.

I absolutely adore this fragrance. I understand that it has been officially discontinued, but I found a bottle easily enough in a local department store here in Germany and suspect it is still available in other European countries as well as online.
The opening notes may be what makes this fragrance difficult for some to appreciate. There is an initial earthy, mulchy, foresty mustiness to it that dissipates very quickly on me. What follows is simply the most divine lush green floral experience with a hint of mint glowing through and a bit of damp sweetness. Even without the suggestive name, this conjures up images of plants, undergrowth, grottos and how the air smells in a forest on a summer day right after it rains. Sillage and lasting power are good, even on my fragrance-eating skin.
Let me save some potential future reviewers of this scent gem some time. If you are sensitive to everything but the lightest, sheerest fragrances, do not wear Eden. If you hate patchouli, ditto. If you wear sporty-clean scents mostly, skip Eden.
To everyone who is ready to try a complex, rich, and deeply sexy fragrance that is not as anaemic as your average deodorant or simply as candy sweet as a Jolly Rancher, this one is worth hunting down and trying. And once you have fallen for it, leave a positive review…I live in hope that Cacharel might consider relaunching this great fragrance.
