I don’t remember where I read a favorable review for this fragrance, but after reading it, I was curious to try it out. While browsing at Target, I found a tester bottle and sprayed it on myself. My initial reaction was, “Yikes! Too strong!” I really don’t like strong perfumes, so I was like, forget it! However, within just a few minutes, it had softened up and smelled quite nice! I kept sniffing my arm. I didn’t purchase it that day, but I continued sniffing myself (lol) even as I drove off from Target. That was the one and only time I ever smelled/sampled it, but the memory of the pleasant scent stayed with me.
I recently found out that Soap&Glory will no longer be available at Target come October, so I knew I had to go get a bottle of this before it becomes hard to find. So just yesterday I went out to buy it. And I am very happy with my purchase!
I’m not good at describing scents, but to me it almost smells like Chance, with lots of vanilla added. Maybe that description is way off, but that’s what it smells like to me. I also find it a little masculine smelling, which is not usually my thing, but I like it. It’s not a ‘girly’ scent, but it is womanly and sexy, without being overbearing. If the first spray is a bit much, just give it a couple of minutes, and hopefully it will smell as nice to you, as it does to me.

Drydown is musty and repulsive. Very strong and overpowering. Smells like a weird chemical odor and little old ladies.

I got this as a Christmas present. I wouldn’t have bought it for myself because I find the fragrance of S&G products a bit too sweet for my taste, although I have found them all to be good quality. However, the perfume is not as strong and sickly sweet as the skin products and I love it. It is quite a powdery subtle scent. Almost like a body spray rather than a perfume, to me. A lot of perfumes make me feel a bit sickly and headachey by the end of the day but not this one. For some reason it doesn’t bother me in that way at all – even with a hangover! It is the one fragrance that when I wear it my boyfriend always says “Mmm you smell nice”. I wear lots of different perfumes and this is the only one he consistently comments on. Also I love the bottle and the packaging. Very cute.
