Notes from Fragrantica:
Top notes are rose and chinese apricot; middle notes are freesia, moroccan mimosa and white iris; base notes are amber, sandalwood and patchouli.
Fresh mimosa, sweet freesia, creamy iris, warm sandalwood. This is a carefree fragrance, with a bit more depth than you’d think from some of the descriptions that have been given. The iris is a creamy/powdery one that runs throughout the whole composition, giving this a lovely ‘ladies vanity’ feel to it. This fragrance is sadly discontinued, but easy enough to find as they have done one re-release of it in recent years. I do get a hint of warm amber in the base, melding with the sandalwood to anchor this fragrance and give it real staying power and sillage. I find this scent blooms and changes for hours—opening light and sweet, deepening and becoming more as it warms on your skin. It smells expensive to me, which is no easy feat at times for a $10 perfume. Definitely a winner and a classic.

I do not like this smell. It is floral but it had a sickly scent to it. If you are prone to migraines, steer clear. I am happy I got to try it out but I would not repurchase in the future.
My interpretation: VERY sweet with floral and a hint of powder. Makes me dizzy just thinking about it…

Smell like flowers, very floral, but has a bitter scent after wards.
That’s what makes me have a headache. Nice cute bottle with a pink tone fluid. If i use this, I would probably have to spray something with a sweet scent to kill the bitterness scent.
I am allergic to certain fragrance’s scents, but I I mostly prefer floral over fruit or food. There’s some fragrances that as soon as i smell it I start sneezing right away. Some example of scents I like are waterlily, lavendar, freesia, amber, jasmine, vanilla, orchid, and patchouli. Some that I don’t like are grapefruit, passion fruit, pear, apple, anis, orange, peach, and strawberry. But usually it depends on how they are mix and the proportion they use.

I dont know why others say this smells like garbage. I assume that perfume makers didn’t go out of their way to make a disgusting, intolerable scent. Perhaps it is the type of aroma that dosen’t go well with body chemistry of some ladies. Perhaps others enjoy this fragrance. I know that I do. Maybe I can be one of the few ladies that *can* wear this fragrance gracefully.

I found that this is a very fresh, almost fall-like (or pre-spring) type of fragrance, with top notes of floral powder, violet, mimosa, blended with sandalwood. It is sweet and woody while being light and airy at the same time. Perhaps its perfect for late 20-somethings, or for those who are looking for a fresh young scent with added dimension.
I think the key to wearing this fragrance is to realize that it seems like a light fragrance in the initial spray, but the drydown is just as forward as the beginning – this fragrance should be used in moderation so that there is just a hint of aroma. That’s the best way to enjoy this delightful fragrance. My skin absorbs fragrance really well so I was happy to find in this perfume a fragrance that didn’t fade in the first hour of wearing it. That’s rare for me to experience, it seems.
I’m glad that I took a chance and purchased this perfume. It is one of my favorite scents now, next to MANIFESTO, another fragrance that is hard to pull off if you dont have the character, class and style (and chemistry!) to make it work for you.
I was happy to add this to my collection. The bottle is very pretty too, and i love the name. It says to me that the dreams you have in life really do come true if you go after them and make them real!! 😀

Previous reviewers had it right when they said it smells like dryer sheets. I do not like scents like this at all, but to each her own. I will say that this is a very fresh scent, but to me, the freshness has an almost peircing quality I sprayed one spritz of this on my shirt before work a few days ago, and could not stand it for an hour. It calms as it dries down, but even then, I still don’t like it. Looking at the notes for this scent, the top notes are supposed to be rose(?), freesia, and apricot. It smells nothing like you would think from those notes, it smells very chemically and strong.
I got this for free from a co-worker years ago and have used barely any of it since then. I read on Fragrantica that the person who created Dior J’adore also made this scent. Very hard to believe. I gave this two lippies for it’s insane lasting power, affordable price, and attractive bottle.

Ehh…not my favorite. It smelled too peppery and just did not go well with my body chemistry. I returned it to the girl who gave it to me, who actually DOES like it.

I found this sweet, sickly, powdery, overpowering and old fashioned. It lingers for a very long time, you can smell it on your clothes for days!
I gave it back to my Avon lady to give away for free, and it took her several months to find a taker, so not many people seem to like it here.
Pretty bottle though

I purchased Dreamlife based on the reviews, and I was expecting something clean, like Summer, by Kenzo. Well, I can’t see any similarity to my beloved Summer, by Kenzo.
Dreamlife is a very woody, powdery, strong and long lasting scent. There’s no freshness in it. It’s a cocktail of cheap iris yuck, sandalwood and amber. Don’t buy it unsniffed (like I did :0) !

I really liked this scent! I got it in the body lotion which was on sale at 2 for $8.99 so it was super cheap. Sometimes if I’m not sure if I like a scent, I like to get the lotion. I especially like them in summer when I don’t want to wear a perfume all the time. This one is really nice. It’s a nice floral with a touch of musk. Exactly what I was looking for. I may end up with the pefume too now.
EDIT: It’s 2011 now and it’s been long discontinued but I find this is my all time favorite Avon fragrance and I still love to wear it. I’ll be bummed when I can’t find it anymore.
