Late to the party on this fragrance, wish I’d known about it earlier in my life, but I so enjoy using it. I have it in several forms and just ordered a bottle from Costco – shocked to find it there – for less than $90 for 2.5oz. Love the perfume oil, the roll-on, and also have this in soap form.

This is another Tuberose hit for me, which I feel is well priced (Aprx. $150.00). I just adore the addition of Moroccan spices and benzoin. I adore how it’s not too feminine yet I’m not overpowered by masculine aspects either. I love how this scent is spicy pepper but also a bit salty. When I wear this, I feel like I am standing next to a small but extremely fragrant flower stand placed in the middle of a huge Moroccan spice market.

I remember testing Do Son EDT a couple of years ago and although I could see (or rather smell!) the beauty of it just found it too transparent, well-behaving and lacking some body or backbone eventually. Pretty, romantic, slightly too fresh for my liking reminiscent of jasmine scented shower gel. Alright, been there done that, let’s move on.
The other day I was browsing casually at the perfume counter and sprayed some of the EDP. This is definitely a case of fragrance where the difference in concentration moves it to a completely different direction.
The EDP is way more creamy/buttery, has all the heft the EDT is missing and retains the beauty and radiance. A lush bouquet of tuberose and orange blossom on a warm musk base. Still ladylike but this time in an assertive, non bossy way. It’s a very joyful fragrance, would be perfect for a wedding and still versatile enough for any beautiful spring day. Performance is average to good but you still have to use around 4 sprays. Love at first sniff right there, I’m definitely a fan!
50ml of the EDT cost 70 euros, 100ml of EDT 90 euros and 75ml of EDP 105 euros.

I went to a Diptyque store and compared the Do Son Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum…after a long smell test the Eau de Parfum won. The parfum has long staying power and a better less watered down intoxicating floral scent, you just can’t stop smelling yourself. Its like when you stop and enjoy a beautifully scented fresh bouquet of flowers, the smell just keeps you wanting to inhale more and more. Do Son screams FLORAL but in a gentle and relaxing way. It has a calming effect. If you’re not a big floral perfume person this perfume could change your mind. I took a sample home and have used it a few times, don’t over spray this one…it lingers all day and longer. This is not an extraordinary or totally different type of scent but a great interpretation and if you close your eyes and take a whiff you may think you’re standing in a dewey garden of tuberose. Overall a nice gentle but assertive perfume with long staying power. Only sold in large bottles, the $140 price tag is steep but considering one spray is all you need one bottle will last quite awhile.
