To me, Dahlia Divin is one of those golden perfumes that have a smooth structure and a pleasant overall effect. I think this is a good style especially when one wants to get a break from searching for ultimate creativity, the next niche edge or ambitious expression – and wearing many things from deep sea algae to concrete to deadly mushrooms in the meantime.
Dahlia Divin is certainly not the pinnacle of creativity, but I don’t think that’s its purpose anyway. This is a well-rounded, pleasant fragrance that can handle any occasion from work to classsical music concerts to weekends with family. It will not offend anyone and will draw complements. None of these are bad things and I’m happy that this style is there. It makes me think of Lancome Attraction which – as far as I remember- was more powdery but along the same lines. These are mostly floral comfort fragrances for times when one doesn’t want to do gourmand, vanilla overdose or musks perhaps. The modern chypre? I don’t care much for that description, but if I have to think about it, I think Balenciaga by Balenciga is more of a modern chypre than Dahlia Divin on my skin.
The fragrance has a bright, approachable, opulent opening. Again, there is the miraballe plum. Flowers are creamy on my skin. I get the jasmine on a light, airy base. My favorite aspect of Dahlia Divin is definitely the slightly balmy, really creamy sandalwood. Nothing smoky. When I was a teenager, my mother bought lots of sandalwood soaps from an artisan producer at some point. That’s how I was introduced to this note. I remember the creaminess more than 25 years laters. Lovely surprise for me here. The patch is just a whisper on my skin.
Unfortunately the sillage is very low, lasting power is around 4-5 hours.
In a world of unlimited finances, I could buy it. I would also wear it in rotation with more ambitious fragrances if I was gifted this.

I really went into try Irresistible but was overwhelmed with all the variations of it. I kept going back to this one and decided I really didnt like the different variations of Irresistible. This is warm and sweet smelling at first. I love jasmine so the dry down on this is beautiful and full of white, soft, powdery florals. The final finish is warm and exotic with the sandalwood and patchouli. This is such a beautiful scent and features some of my favorite notes, so its like it was made for me. I wish the wear and throw were a bit stronger though. I do feel like after a few hours I can’t really smell it anymore.

This is my signature scent as I wear this almost all year except in the hottest part of summer, where the heat just turns it kind of skunky/skanky. This perfume reminds me a lot of my favorite perfume growing up, Samsara by Guerlain. It’s like Dahlia is her toned downed, more playful sister. As if Samsara were stripped down to more simplistic notes. I guess I should have started this off with my scent preference…
I absolutely love the combination of jasmine with sandalwood. To me, there isn’t a more perfect mix of fragrance. So naturally I was drawn to this lovely rendition from Givenchy. Golden mirabelle plum, jasmine and other white florals which I can’t identify because the jasmine is the star, sandalwood, vetiver, and a clean patchouli. The sandalwood in this is a gorgeous creamy, but-not-vanilla-reminiscent, sandalwood. This sandalwood is a soft woody earthy scent that I believe to be a true representation of real Mysore sandalwood. Others have stated this one is a sweet fragrance, but I have to disagree. The plum does give a bit of sweet brightness to the juice, but it doesn’t distract from the floral woods that’s at the heart of this perfume. I also have to disagree with the few who said this fragrance is powdery. I loathe powdery scents with a pasion! There is nothing old lady about this perfume, but it’s not screaming youth either. This is a juice for a grown ass woman in her full power! I feel sexy and confident when I wear it. I find it an appropriate scent to wear to almost any occasion even the office. It is a strong perfume, but not one that would gas people out in an elevator. I think it’s probably because the sillage on this is light. It’s there, but it’s very subtle. The lasting power of the edp is impressive! I took my winter coat out of storage and smelled Dahlia waft up as soon as I opened the bag, from a year ago and after a dry cleaning! I will continue to buy this until they discontinue it and then I will scour the globe looking for all the remaining bottles.

I’d give this a 2.5, it’s not a bad scent just not for me. I liked the scent in the bottle but it dried into this heavy floral on me that was kind of musty smelling. Wish it had worked out, just doesn’t work with my body chemistry I guess. Would not repurchase.

I came across Dahlia Divin by coincidence. i was getting samples of high end perfumes and as I was waiting for them I grabbed this bottle and without reading the name or thinking about it i sprayed it on my wrist and went on my business of getting my samples. Then as I’m leaving I got a sniff of it and fell in love with it so right there and then I turned around and went looking for it but couldn’t remember where or what was it. So I went home. Days later I received my Sephora online purchase, I did not received the samples that I had picked instead I received substitutions, and those were Dahlia Divin edt and the Edp. I spritz them both; one on each arm. To my surprise it was the one I hAve fallen in love with at the store! I went back and purchased it. And I love it so much that I also ordered the bigger bottle right away!!! Dahlia Divin edt is a very lovely fragrance, it is complex but simple, sweet and warm, strong but delicate, it’s mysterious. I feel like a goddess when I wear it which is 24/7. The EDP I find is more concentrated and last longer but I prefer the EDT. Eventually I will grab the EDP. I’m so glad I came accross this perfume.

I’m thinking of making this fragrance my signature scent. It’s very sensual and sexy. It’s a complex floral (at least I think it is) but it dries down to a more earthy undertone that makes it much more interesting. It’s unlike anything I have in my collection. I always buy the perfume rather than the eau de toilette because the latter form never lasts very long on the skin. This fragrance is definitely womanly and not suitable for a teenager in that it’s not a fruity or sweet scent. But it’s also not too mature either. There’s nothing matronly about it, lol! It has the essence of white flowers and if I’m not mistaken, some roses too, but it also has some musk notes as well and maybe something more mysterious like leather (I really don’t know, I’m just guessing here, lol!). All I know is that I feel very sexy when I wear it, and that’s what it’s all about right? I get compliments all the time, from both women and men. But I never reveal what I’m really wearing. It’s my little secret. I wear a few bottle of fragrance at a time but I rarely buy a second bottle of anything. I prefer to keep discovering new things all the time. There are a few exceptions and I think Dahlia Divin will be one of those. It’s become an instant classic, at least for me. The french always make the best perfumes imo. I have several Givenchy scents that I love that have become classics for me. I think I will wear Dahlia Divin all year round. It doesn’t strike me as a scent for a particular season like Samsara. All I know is that I feel beautiful and sexy when I wear it and that my hubby can’t seem to keep his hands off of me, lol! That’s a good sign that a perfume is doing its job! I definitely recommend this fragrance!

I love this scent! It’s sweet and flowery without being girly or trashy, and it just smells so light and airy. I actually layer it with a bit of Egyptian musk and it smells delightful! It’s not too complex, and you can really wear it every single day without it being overpowering.
I love the simple and elegant bottle, it looks great on my countertop.
I would totally buy this again!

For the last few years I’ve been switching between Fracas and Channel 19 depending on my mood. Lately I’ve been wanting something new but hadn’t really tried anything that caught my fancy. Today while shopping in Ulta I tried this fragrance and was immediately in love even after the dry down. On me it’s an almost perfect balance of sweet, floral, and spicy with a touch of dark mystery. It kinda sorta reminds me of something I like about TF Black Orchard but I can’t put my finger on what it is. In any case, I’m saving up my pennies for this one. What a nice surprise.

Smells amazing. It’s a more mature sweet woody scent that I would say is a scent of a confident mature, professional female. I don’t get any floral girly notes in this at all.
