This review is for: Thierry Mugler COLOGNE: COME TOGETHER [nose: Alberto Morillas; 2018] Aldehydic–Hesperidic–Musqué type.
Notes (my own impressions): Aldehydes, petitgrain, neroli, lime peel, coriander, paperwhites, jasmine, grassy notes, tagetes, sandalwood, white musk.
This new fragrance is a brilliant, effervescent and refreshing scent, ideal for summer weather. Sharp, nose-prickling “solar” aldehydes wake you up, followed by dapper, natty petigrain, a nostalgic “Art Deco” neroli, to create a hesperidic sheen of refreshment. Gradually in the drydown, subtle white florals add their vernal winsomeness, spiked by very outdoorsy and health-filled green lawn notes. An image of fine French soap gives you a feeling of vintage clean-ness. In farthest drydown, a whisper-subtle bed of tagetes, sandalwood and a pure skin musk give a distant note that reminds you of tanned skin after a long day at the pool or beach.
This new fragrance is both to-the-minute in style, with its glassy/linear sheen of top-heavy minimalism; yet it directly alludes, I feel, to the very first eaux-de-cologne as they appeared in the 1700’s in Cologne, Germany. In fact, COME TOGETHER is making a direct allusion, I am convinced, to the very first well-known Kölnisch Wasser invented by Johann-Maria Farina in 1709.
This is one of those sparkling, “tonic” scents that I like to save for summer’s hottest months— which in South Texas are July and August. In fact, at that time, I stash it in the fridge, so it goes on wonderfully cold. Lovely and revitalizing after a long airplane or car trip.
I love the flacon for COME TOGETHER, suggesting as it does oldschool barber’s tonic bottles, with their vaguely obelisk shape and graceful shoulders. The jus within is a light grass-green. Pure refreshment!

Thankfully I received this as a sample because I was on the verge of blind buying it (usually not a good idea). I’m extremely glad I got a chance to try it first because once the short life of bergamot goes away you’re left with a dupe of Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino. If you like neroli and want a nice clean cologne for summer this is definitely for you. The scent life was short, only about 2 hours and as a cologne stayed close to the skin. I’m not a huge fan of neroli so this was a no-go for me, especially since I have Eau de Rochas which is perfect for summer and has a lot more depth and staying power. The good news is that it comes in a generously sized bottle for a reasonable price so reapplying isn’t a problem, especially if you take a spray decant with you on the go. The reason I gave it a lower score was because there are similar, better options out there and for the longevity issue. Some other reviewers got a longer scent life out of it so it might be a good idea to try before you buy and see how it performs in the heat.

This is a really nice cologne. It’s very fresh, but has a woodiness and sharpness to it. For some reason, I couldn’t find it in stores here, but I was able to order online at a great price. I love the shower gel as well. This is a really nice fresh scent for spring/summer, or if you want something clean to wear that is inoffensive. Top notes are bergamot, neroli and petit grain. The base is formed of white musk.

I bought this as it came up in a search for ‘clean’ scents. I was hoping for something soapier but it is very much a standard cologne. It smells very much like a cheap version of Neroli Portofino to me, it is citrussy and pleasant enough but nothing special. I am glad I bought a tester of this as it is not what I was looking for. If you like citrus fragrances and normal colognes this will work well for you.

Smells really fresh and innofensive but kinda cheap, unisex citrusy and clean but its more of a daily instrad of formal scent

Cologne smells like fresh clean laundry (not fabric softner). suitable for women and men and great for summer.

I think it smells wonderful. I’ve been wearing it for years alongside my other favorites from Comme des Garcons, Givenchy, Byredo, and diptyque. It has a very fresh plant/citrus/veggie note that people constantly compliment whenever I wear it. I love the light green color as well. I’ll buy it as long as it continues to be produced!

Unremarkable citrus, followed by a musk which has a really disagreeable metallic quality..

I love the smell of this, like evryone else had said clean and fresh, it’s a very nice scent. In regards to staying power, it lasts on me for around 1/2 a day.
