2-9-08 UPDATE: Ok, so it DOESNT last the whole day on me… it was the TBS neroli jasmin that lasted the whole day. the cassis rose seems to have a weaker staying power, which is surprising for an oil… but yeah, it prolly lasted 2 hours,max. so a lippie off…

I am NOT a fan of rose scents. to me they are cloying and headache inducing and very “old lady” like in a bad way. That being said, i’ve never bought anything with “rose” or even a hint of it in its name or its scent.
So when i came across this at TBS, the saleslady kept spritzing something in the air and i aske dher what is was coz i smelled really good. she said Cassis Rose. so i tried it, loved it, and boguth the perfume oil since i love oils.
This is a very fresh, sexy fragrance. No old lady traces at all. if you just dab a little, the scent is very light but lingering (lasts a whole day on me).
will repurchase but probably not in the next 2 years since its such a huge bottle and all you need are a few tiny dabs!
so even if youre not a rose scent type of gal, try this!! TBS has a great return policy in case you really cant stand it!

I was given a “gift set” by my fiance a couple months ago with a body splash, shower gel and a body lotion in this scent. I loved it so much I came back for the perfume oil. I am a huge fan of rosines but this one was much different that Stella or the previous Tea Rose perfume oil offered at The Body Shop. It is hard to describe, but the fragrance is very bright and happy. The rose is there, but it is not powdery or “old lady rose” scent you get in some rose products. It seems to also smell somewhat like raspberries which probably lends itself to the brightness factor. This fragrance has a tendency to make me feel very happy and smiley. Overall I think that this is a very good value because of the price and the concentrated strength of the oil (be careful when applying as the strength of the oil makes it very easy to over do it on this one). All in all if you want a rosine that is bright and youthful this is a nice place to start.

Just got this today. Got pretty excited with good review here. I brought without trying as i was in a hurry so this is my verdict. I didn’t really like it. I want to try something new, like the rose scent, guess i am not a Rose person. I don’t feel happy or too turn on when applied, just sleepy with mixed feeling. It just didn’t work its magic like it did for everyone else. It’s soft, feminine, rosy, romantic… but it just not me. Too elegant, too girly. It reminds me of Versace Red Jeans though…i don’t know why but when i sniff the fragrance on me, it just smell that way. But Versace was much stronger, this is lighter scent. Hard to give 4 lippies, it’s just not justified on me to, so i settle for 3. Will use it or give to mum. Definitely won’t repurchase. Update: Ok, after few time of usage, i guess i grew more fond of it than dislike it. So up another lippies.:) Will probably get this if i ever finish using this as i had others alternatives.Updated: Down a few lippies as it is not as lasting as it used to….don’t know got to do with i placed it near the window or what but i have to keep reapplying which is abit irritating, won’t repurchase.
