If you love lavender and unisex fragrances, this is one to try.
I was given a decant by a friend, because I was looking for a not too sweet, not too strong, office appropriate fragrance for the office. I’m an oriental and chypre lover, and many of my fragrances are fine in cool weather, but too much for summer, and some of them are just not office appropriate at any time of year (Ciara, Shalimar and Cinnabar, I’m looking at you).
I’ve now worn this five times.
It goes on very sharp and citrus like, even though citrus is not listed in the notes, I am assuming that citrus tinge is a combination of blackberry leaf, aldehydes and neroli. Give it 10 minutes, and it becomes a cool, slightly metallic, woodsy aromatic lavender, with vetiver and musk grounding it. Definitely a modern, slightly edgy fragrance, let down by the clean “laundry musk” note. By this time, the citrus has turned into blackberry and neroli. There is a faint, mixed floral note which smells a little bit like peony, a little bit like rose, and a little bit like orange blossom. None of these are distinct enough to make a good impression, they just seem to blur together.
All up, I love the concept of this fragrance, but not the construction. It ends up smelling a bit muddled. If I desperately wanted another clean, not too sweet floral for the office, I would go a buy Rosabotanica or L’essence, both by Balenciaga. As it is I have a couple of fragrances that fit the bill. I just wanted something new for summer because I’m a perfume junkie.
On my perfume eating skin, longevity for the edt is fabulous. This lasts all day and more. Sillage is moderate. I’ve had a few friends give me the sniff test. They all said it didn’t work on me, but they all thought it an acceptable office fragrance.

I was very much surprised by this fragrance because it’s uncharacteristically different from all of the other Burberry fragrances I have tried. I say this because it is a heavier, stronger, more potent perfume than any of the others. Personally, I love it! It reminds me of all the hippie-type stores I have visited both in Ithaca, New York and Berkeley, California. It smells rich and spicy, almost with a hint of leather and patchouli. This is not an exceptionally feminine, girly fragrance. This perfume is for someone who likes to stand out in a crowd, without a doubt. It’s a surprise to discover this one after having been used to the more classic scents that this company has produced. I would highly recommend trying before you buy. I happened to like it, but it definitely isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea.

it’s my favourite one out of the Burberry fragrances that I’ve tried. I recently found it on sale and got it. It’s a nice modern fragrance, I prefer it for spring or fall. I don’t know if I would repurchase, I like it but I’m not loving it.

I agree with Starsong26’s review of this. I will add that to me, what stikes me about this is, to me it makes me think of three of my all-time fave perfumes, Michael Kors original, Coach original, and the original Jennifer Aniston perfumes. I guess I like originals..??? lol But this “Burberry Rhythm for Her” reminds me if those perfumes had a baby, it would be this “Burberry Rhythm for Her”. I bought the male Burberry Rhythm for my S/O a couple Christmases ago and we still greatly love that scent, and I am happy that the women’s version is equally pleasing to the both of us. Oftentimes a man’s cologne will smell wonderful and the woman’s version smell..well, not so wonderful.
One thing that made me take a star/lippie off was the lasting power of this. In less than an hour I could not smell it on me at all and in less than 4 hours my S/O and best friend could not smell this on me at all, and that was even when sprayed heavily. I tend to do the spray and walk into the perfume so it scents my clothes, so for me, the scent stays truer as the day wears on. So perhaps if I sprayed this directly on my skin, it might last longer. But I have gotten in the habit of doing the ‘walk into the spray’ habit and this is one of the very few perfumes I own that disappears so fast.
Being this is a more pricey perfume (even as an EDT), I kind of wish it had longer lasting power. But I am okay to spray it again mid-day if I feel like it. However, that tiny drawback makes me not want to re-purchase this. Which is a shame, because it really is a lovely scent, right up my alley with the clean and fresh scent, and I do like the embossed classic Burberry design and the sheerness of the bottle, to me it looks classy and classic-looking with a modern, slightly edgy feel. I may or may not re-purchase but when I think about it, I doubt it. The lasting power is just not there. Sad, because I do like this a lot…Still, 4 stars/4 lippies ain’t bad!!! 🙂

Its interesting.. At first it’s really citrusy with a pepper note, as it dries down you begin to get a more powdery/soapy finish.. It’s fresh and clean, I wouldn’t say it’s sensual or even flirty, it’s definitely got an edge to it though.. I could see wearing this to an outdoor concert maybe, and certainly not a winter fragrance.. Spring and summer would probably be a great time for this perfume.. I love that it’s not sickening sweet like a lot of newer fragrances tend to be.. It’s got a hip vibe for sure! I really like it.. ????

I love this perfume. It’s hard for me to put a finger on what I smell though. This has that traditional woody smell a lot of Burberry scents have. It gives off the most beautiful sillage. It’s almost like someone coming in from a long walk on a brisk fall day. It’s a natural freshness, not an “after shower” freshness.
The orris in this DOES remind me of Infusion d’Iiris. It’s a sheer veil that surrounds you and everyone can notice. It’s so soft, people get a confused expression for an instant before complimenting. They aren’t really sure it’s perfume, but have to ask what perfume you have on because they don’t want to miss out! It’s so very appealing to those around you.
This is a scent that can be worn any time. My favorite time is fall. Only because that’s what it smells like…fresh brisk air.
The packaging doesn’t help sell this scent. It’s a generic in the world of lavish decor. I’m not fond of the Burberry bottles. Not a one really appeals to me. They aren’t “bad”, they just aren’t my personal preference. The ad is all wrong. It should be a natural beauty wearing lots of woolen articles surrounded by mountains and sheep….in the fall. An advertisement for maybe wool mittens! The price is great. I got a huge bottle at TJ’s for 20.00. It’s a STEAL. This scent will last till the cows/sheep come home!
I think this scent can scare you at first. It can overwhelm you if using too much. Just a spray or two that fall lightly on your body will be quite enough. Mist lightly a sweater, let it sit for 15 minutes outside in the fresh air. This will give you a more accurate idea of what you will smell like. It’s just beautiful.
I’m loving Burberry!

This is lovely, Burberry makes quality fragrances , but for my taste, the lavender comes out a bit too much, and not being fond of it, I don’t think this is the scent for me..but in its category of aromatic floral, this is nicely done..
Try the Florale version, it is great!! Not so much Lavander.

I believe this is the stinkiest perfume I have ever smelled. Smells like old fashioned very offensive lavender soap. The dry down is even worse. Lasts okay, which is a bad thing in this case. Oh how disgusting!

Absolutely terrible. It gave me a headache.
