Yes, this fragrance is not for everyone. If you think Clinique Happy was the most perfect fragrance ever, do not in any way expect to like this as a womens perfume. It’s woodsy, musky, deep, spicy with the tiniest floral hint to me. It works perfectly with my body chemistry, making something more manly into the sexiest scent. You have to be a confident person to wear this. In a way, I am kind of glad Bleecker St. doesn’t have such a big following, I would hate to smell like the masses 🙂 If you’re a fan of this one, you probably feel the same way!

Me: “I smell like a dude.”
H: “Yes. Yes you do.”
The drydown is a very nice slightly powdery vanilla, but to get there you have to brave smelling like a dude. Distinctly dude-ish. Like aftershave and men’s deodorant dudishness. I like my fragrances to be distinctly feminine – sweet, flowery. I can see the appeal – this smells nice – but it’s too much man for me.

Okay, so Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez hated it, so I thought I SHOULD too – but alas! I didn’t! I couldn’t! Bleecker Street is really different and intriguing on a woman (because of it’s masculine edge). I find Bleecker to be a very fresh, herbal scent and because it’s so different from the florals I usually wear – I find it to be very refreshing and fun! It’s very modern, but if you shy away from masculine scents, this won’t be for you.
