What a surprising find! The salon where I get my hair cut carries this line so I got a chance to sample the Tokyo Milk Dark line and purchased Bittersweet fragrance and hand lotion. Top notes right off are the dark rich chocolate (not sickly sweet) which dry down to a beautiful floral. The sillage is excellent and lasts all day on me and the hand lotion is also quite nice. This makes a great addition to my collection of fragrances and is awesome for these cold weather months. Can’t wait to try Margot Elena’s other fragrances for warmer weather. Love it, love it, love it – and husband loves it too!

This is a nice scent, but it’s not as cool as I wanted it to be. I expected something different/unique from the cake flour, but the cake flour + dark cacao bean just smells like a rich chocolate cake smell on my skin. It’s very much chocolate cake at first, and dries down to chocolate cake with hints of perfumey musk and floral (that smells oddly a bit like lavender on me). It’s nice, but not my favorite chocolate fragrance.

inital spritz: i am LOVING this. reminds me very much of Chocolat Mat by Masaki Matsushima, and less sweet than comptoir sud pacifique’s amour de cocoa. it’s a deep, dark, unsweetened baking chocolate, which i love. unfortunately, it very quickly (in minutes) turns even less sweet- woodsy & then slightly flowery. later, i can barely smell it. i like lots of sillage & staying power. i’m hoping if i keep reapplying, the chocolate will be more pronounced!
