I remember buying this when it first came out. It was when i shopped at Benetton and could actually fit into their clothing. LOL!!!! I remember buying a pair of pants and they had two colognes out. Benetton Hot and Cold. I like Hot better so that is the one i bought. I remember thinking it smelled like lighter fluid. FLORAL lighter fluid. I mean that in the best way possible. I loved it and i loved the fact it was unisex even though it smelled totally feminine to me and still does. I saw this come up on my feed on Fragrantica the other day and i had totally forgot about it so i went to Ebay to buy a bottle. It is just as good as i remember. The sandalwood is lovely in this. I work at a hotel and the entire lobby is filled with the scent of this fragrance. I can detect apricot, mandarin oranges, lemons and bergamots in the air. Nice woody notes too of cedar, rosewood and the aforementioned sandalwood. Has oakmoss too. Maybe that is what is giving me a lighter fluid vibe. It smells sooooo good. It lasts and lasts and gives great projection and like i just said….it can fill up a room with its scent. This is an oldie and a cheapie but a goody. Glad it’s still around.

Chanel allure edt in a benetton hot bottle! Indeed a cheap version of Chanel Allure

A unisex fragrance from benetton, in the same family with allure (in my opinion they’re twins but not the same either) love the soft fragrance and good longevity! Bottle looks funny but nice!!! Perfect for everyday use, young or mature people! Inexpensive 🙂

This is exactly like Chanel Allure on me, only brighter and slightly sportier and perhaps muskier. Top notes are exactly the same on me, only Hot retains its brightness for a longer time and never loses the citrus undertones throughout the course of the fragrance – this is how I have always wanted Chanel Allure to be. Hot’s midnotes are creamier and perhaps less complex, lacking the green stem-like note of Allure, but I have no problem with this either. Also, while I cannot always smell Allure on me, I don’t have that problem with Hot. It projects well and last for around 4-5 hours with a single spritz. Perhaps it’s not as elegant as Allure, but now that I have come across this perfume in a tacky -I love it!- bottle, I’m thinking whether Chanel as a brand name adds to the perceived elegance of Allure. I have been a loyal user of Allure for a long time now, but I am so switching to this Hot number. It is not even a knock-off of Allure, indeed it was launched two years before it. I’m so happy with my find, and so is my wallet:)

It’s nice & cute but not too sexy though.. but for the price, the staying power is gr8.

Got this as a gift from my cousin when I was in high school. The scent was too strong. I ended up giving it to someone else.

Today I found HOT by Benetton in a drugstore for a very cheap price, so I bought it without testing. Very nice surprise!!!
I never thought that the fragrance in this funny and tacky bottle could smell so beautiful and expensive. It’s a hidden little gem. The name HOT sounds too aggressive. The fragrance smells soft and WARM and even it’s an unisex fragrance, I find it very feminine and sensual. It’s a smooth, soft-fruity and sweet ambery floriental. On my skin and clothes long-lasting too. 4 lippies!!! Here a description:
1997 Benetton France.
Olfactive family: Floriental.
Olfactive description: Green Fruity (Lemon, Bergamot, Mandarine, Apricot) Floral (Muguet, Jasmin, Iris) Ambery Powdery Woody(Rosewood) Mossy Vanillic Musky.

This is nice, I got it for very cheap, it does smell a little like Allure. It doesn’t last very long on me. (Don’t ever buy the Cold by Benetton it is disgusting made me sick) This one is fine though.

One of my favorites.
This fragrance opens with a balance of florals and spice that definitely smells similar to its more expensive counterpart – Chanel’s Allure. However, with the intention of creating a set of unisex fragrances with Hot and Cold – although Hot is the more feminine of the two, it is still without a doubt a slightly unisex version of Allure.
The note that really does it for me in terms of taking one of my favorite fragrances of all time (Allure) and giving it a twist is the rosewood. While bearing the same softness and ambery sweetness of Allure, it has a rosewood note that adds body.
Lasting power is absolutely nothing compared to Allure. While this allows it to hold less sharp and a bit rounder and softer as a fragrance, it begins its drydown phase into that light base of soft amber very quickly.
I like the spigot bottle. It’s easy to handle and a definite long-lasting quantity. 4.5/5
