Oh…. this is a warm (but not musky) beautiful scent. It’s clean, not soapy, and it’s woody & light, yet has depth and dimension with decent longevity. It’s inoffensive – can be worn in the office or out for a romantic evening. Beautiful and different, yet not at all “odd”. If you like Dyptique Philosykos you may like this. Both are worth having, IMO because they are different enough, but in the same category.
B. Balenciaga reminds me of a stroll through the woods, approaching a meadow… you can just drink in the sunshine while enjoying the varied outdoor scents, inspiring a feeling of freedom. (I’m wondering if this fragrance incorporates Molecule 01 – Iso E (which I LOVE and find absolutely mysterious and brings oh-so-many compliments from strangers! But that’s a different review. This fragrance reminds me a bit of Molecule 01 as well as the Dyptique fragrance I referenced.) Can’t go wrong unless you’re really focused on sweet gourmand/candy-type fragrances, because this is not one of those.

Love it. Lasts a long time too, even on humid weather.

If you loved the original Vent Vert before the accursed reformulation, you’ll like this. As other reviewers have said, woody floral is a good description. I like the balance of the woods, the greens and the florals: it smells like a forest in early summer. I enjoy that very much, as I dislike fragrances that are so heavily floral that I feel like the guest of honor at a funeral.

I loved this perfume, it smelted really good on me

This perfume had a very beautiful sweet, fruity vanilla scent when I first purchased it.
I wore it a few times then its scent suddenly changed. It went from smelling amazing to smelling like stinky socks for some strange reason. I guess it did not work well with my body chemistry which is extremely disheartening.
I love the packaging however. It comes in 50ml or 75ml in a frosted hexagon-shaped glass bottle and looks very feminine, elegant and sophisticated.
Thankfully I bought the 75ml bottle at a discounted rather than the full price. Now I am using it up as an expensive air freshener lol.

Such dismal reviews!! Personally, I love it, and so does my husband. I love a woody floral though.
I like that, to my nose, it smells like Marc Jacobs Daisy. It’s uplifting and bubbly and cheerful but not childish. It also resembles that Betsey Johnson perfume from long ago in the 90s in the round bottle. It seems to have vanished from most online references and barely even appears in searches. Since B. Balenciaga seems so unpopular and there’s nary a recollection of that old Betsey scent, I doubt many would see a positive comparison.
I find it lovely. Different strokes, I suppose.

This smells almost exactly like Avon Be Tempting and very similar to Burberry Touch. All are super heavy on the Amber. Sexy, warm and feminine. But also cloying, clingy and headache-inducing, as the Amber is not balanced by lighter, fresher notes. The Amber in this is sickly and heavy and drills its way into my brain like a work colleague who never stops chattering. For the briefest few minutes there is a hint Lily-of-the-Valley and Violet Leaf, but once it settles its 99% amber with the barest hint of powder from the Iris. Avon Be Tempting has better silage and lasts longer so in this case I’d go with the Avon. B lasts 2 – 3 hours on me.
Top Notes – Lily-of-the-Valley, Violet Leaf, Soy Lean (or Edamame)
Heart Notes – Cedar, Iris
Base Notes – Ambrette Seed, Cashmere Wood

I got a sample of this when ordering products from Sephora and I have to be honest: not nice. Somehow it’s very strong, unpleasant scent – I can’t even tell what it smells like – it’s definitely not floral, not sweet, not citrusy.. just very disturbingly strong and ugly. Maybe like old grass?
I can’t imagine anyone wearing this. I actually had to take a shower to wash off this stinky aroma that wasn’t an easy task, it was almost sealed into my skin. Horrible!
My sample sleeps into a trash can. Too bad, I really wanted a nice sample. Bottle looks cute.

It has a strong initial scent but as it dries down, I could detect green notes under the lily of the valley. I really like it and think the edamame peeks through nicely. The other notes come out very gradually for me but are the best part on my skin. I get hints of amber here and there. I wish I could write better fragrance descriptions. I usually go for dark, fruity scents these days but this is a nice change for spring. Any sharpness is rounded out.

I love Balenciaga. I was glad to try this new fragrance. It’s not a bad scent. Worse: it’s so VERY unremarkable. True, it’s not exactly my kind of perfume (I like the heady, oriental, spicy kind), but I tried it several times to do it justice. I was simply not impressed. I don’t think it resembles the other scent, Paris, at all. Paris has a great deal more character.
Sorry, Balenciaga. I’ll pass this one.
