Very fruity; mitigated somewhat by wonderful spices. Rich, sweet. Notes: bergamot and red berries; nutmeg, saffron and cumin; patchouli, vanilla and sandalwood. Those red berry topnotes last much longer than many other topnotes.

Whereas Hiver didn’t work at all on me, this one is lovely. I immediately get the fruity aspect and can actually smell the gooseberry, which has a vaguely figgy quality to it. It disappears quickly and becomes a fruit, LOTV, nutmeg and sweet wood blend. Definitely in the realm of Nuits de Noho which I also love.

I thought I would love this, given the notes (bergamot, mandarine, strawberry, raspberry, gooseberry, blackcurrant, lily of the valley, nutmeg, vanilla, sandalwood, and white musk), which include many of my favorites, but I am unmoved. This smelled very much like Shalimar on me, which, (again) on me, smells like something you’d expect an elderly but elegant aunt to wear. (I love Shalimar in the bottle and on others, but it’s awful on me.) I didn’t get any fruity or spicy notes at all, just an overwhelming, complex, generic, “perfume-y” smell, which only became less strong in the drydown. I think my nose is too unsophisticated for complex scents, and my balky chemistry doesn’t help, so I’d be well advised to stick to simple fragrances. Fortunately I only purchased a sample.

I got an overwhelming fruity note from Automne. I dislike obvious fruit in perfumes. The description says “red fruit” but I could not stop thinking of canned peaches! However, as it dried down it became lovely. Not for me but if you like fruit in perfumes you might like this.

My favorite fragrances are almost all autumn and winter ones and I have them subdivided into a myriad number of subtle subcategories…late evening, morning, afternoon, different months, stormy, snow, ice, holiday, Russian winter, etc. Micallef Automne is the quintessential scent for a picnic on a beautiful sunny fall afternoon in the park when all the leaves are gold and brown. It’s a warm, rich scent with fruits, honey, spices, woods and patchouli – one of my high holy grail scents for fall. However, a note of caution for the cumin phobics. It’s not listed as a note (so as not to scare people off?), but it definitely has cumin in it – not a strong cumin note, but it’s there, so be prepared.

This is what I was looking for in Frapin”1270″, and Ginestit Botrytis, but didn’t get. It comes on with the floral aspect predominate to me, developing a honeyed fruitiness that lasts a long time. In the dry down the dash of patchouli peeks through and blends softly with vanilla and sandlewood. Lovely!

Autumn is a sweet comforting fragrance that smells rather similar to Givenchy oblique rewind. it has the same cherry & honey notes as rewind but is a softer version without the tobacco notes. it is also reminescent of Angel & nuits de noho as Pascat pointed out but much softer on the patchouli. I still maintain it is closest to givenchy oblique rewind. There is a slight smokiness to this scent that makes it very warm, inviting and comforting ~ great for fall & winter. Staying power is excellent!!

My absolute favorite along with the regular Fireside not the marshmallow fireside just the plain fireside. I prefer this over Leaves during the fall but they are both nice, This one just brings in the holidays and smells so lovely and very fall like.

This is one of the best smelling candles (or best smells in general) that I’ve ever came across. I only have 2 complaints, the price & the fact that this is limited edition/seasonal! If it were available year round, I would definitely continue to re-purchase. This scent is considered a fall scent, but I would still like to continue using this throughout the year because that’s how much I honestly love this scent. I even bought the matching version of this scent made for cars. I do not ever get tired of this. Absolutely LOVE this!

I liked the Autumn candle. I had the three wick candle. It burned well and evenly with strong throw. The scent was nice and definitely made me think of fall. The only problem was the price, of course. Will only buy three wicks during 2 for 20 sales or when scent is being discontinued. If it comes out again next fall I will repurchase.

I adore this scent so much that i had to purchase four to last me all through fall! Smells like apples, pumpkins, leaves and fresh air all at once. The perfect fall candle! Also not so expensive if you can catch them on sale.
