This review is for the Eau de Toilette version of Aura, which is a completely different animal from the EDP. I do not like the EDP at all, it smells like menthol and bug spray.
But the EDT is amazing!
First off, look at that bottle! It’s the most beautiful component that I have ever seen. My 1oz fits perfectly in the hand, and it’s environmentally friendly, you can refill it! I really love that concept, as I find it extremely wasteful to purchase bottles over and over again. Whoever designed this bottle and the idea of refills, is a complete genius!
As for the scent, it’s truly an enigma. Fresh/green/peppery scents usually appeal to me, and this is definitely that. But the sweet, spicy side is a surprise. How they got the two to mix without creating an olfactory train wreck, is also genius. It’s the best of both worlds. It’s a tropical island vacation in a bottle, without the cliche coconut note.
