It has been compared to Code and Code Cashmere, but I don’t find this exactly like Code Cashmere. But they are definitely sisters!! The ginger+praline+cocoa combo opens up like root beer right from the get go, it’s DELICIOUS. It even smells fizzy. It’s sweet and almost edible, but never cloying —the orange blossom, neroli and jasmine give it a depth—a roundness that makes it not like anything else I own. It’s definitely part of the Code family, but worth owning even if you have others as it’s just delightful.

I do not currently own this but I would love to. I work at a makeup store and I am always trying this one on! So I am a lover of sweet gourmand perfume… ( Fantasy, Bon Bon, Candy….) But a lot of them give me intense headaches if I do more than one spray. Some feel like a bit too much too. I happened to discover this fragrance at work one day just checking it out and I had to keep smelling it. To me it smells very warm chocolate/caramel but in a subtler/sensual way. Best part of it all is it doesn’t give me a headache. It doesn’t smell synthetic or cheap at all. Surprisingly I could smell it still on me after all day and night… when I woke up in the middle of the night I noticed the smell. Except it changed a little bit, had a touch of floral prettiness but still very sweet. I never smelled one that I loved so much before <3

If you liked original Armani Code EDP and you also like gourmands, you might looove Satin! I can smell original Code EDP (which I always keep a bottle of) — sensuous, soft, & smooth — but Satin has delicious gourmand notes added to it:
Armani Code Satin, 2015, per parfumo.net:
Top Notes – Orange, Pear sherbet, Ginger
Heart Notes – Neroli, Jasmine sambac absolute, Orange blossom
Base Notes – Patchouli, Praliné, Cocoa absolute, Vanilla
(Armani Code for Women, 2006):
(Top Notes – African orange blossom, Italian bitter orange)
(Heart Notes – Jasmine sambac, Tunisian orange blossom absolute, Ginger)
(Base Notes – Honey, Vanilla, Sandalwood)
I’ve always liked original Code and wrote a very favorable review years ago. Code Satin’s added Praline, Cocoa, etc make it even better IMHO — and thankfully, without making it too sweet. It’s soft, smooth, and delicious — a subtle “hum” of a gourmand — which will be great for Fall-Winter.
