As the days grow closer to the anniversary of when my sweet Grandmother passed away, I find myself reaching more for the things she wore and loved. This gorgeous gem was one of her favorites, she had it in the perfumed powder stick and then gave it to me. I get a whiff of powdery sweet amber every time I sniff my wrist, and it takes me back to my youth–overnight sleepovers at Grammy’s house, bath time and the primping and powdering that happened afterward. This smells like the whole experience…the body powder that she kept in the vintage ceramic holder on the counter, with the big pink poof. If you like amber, and you like powder (soft powder) you will love this. It sits close to the skin, and the cologne spray version does not have outstanding longevity (5 hours maybe) but it’s so gorgeous that I don’t mind. Still affordable online, although long discontinued.
