This dries down to a beautiful, slightly sticky/resinous smelling, warm, boozy, smoky concoction – without smelling “basic” IYKWIM. I’m aware the description I just wrote sounds like a vanilla, cookie-dough, Victoria’s Secret thing but it’s way more complex than that, I think it’s the smoke. There’s just something a bit indie about it, almost giving me Santal 33 vibes (but obviously a completely different family of notes). I think Lush’s description fits it perfectly – a boozy stumble down a basement or something like that.
I almost didn’t get past the opening which I found a bit too sharp-woody and furniture-polishy, but I think the thing with Lush fragrances and the high component of oils etc is that it really depends on skin chemistry. Once it dried down, it was perfect, and then the subsequent times I’ve worn it, I didn’t experience that opening again – perhaps just got used to it. I imagine this fragrance is beautiful in the cold/autumn, but I live in a tropical country and haven’t found the scent or sillage overpowering or too “warm”. It just occasionally pokes its head up and makes me wonder what that smell is, and then I realise it’s me.
I’ve tried to make all kinds of boozy gourmand vanillas work in the past and none have worked as well has this – Diptyque Eau Duelle, Tokyomilk Dead Sexy, Dior Hypnotic Poison, Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille… ended up selling them all as there was always a screechy or too powdery note. None of that will All Good Things which is just soft and warm, a bit of a skinscent, interesting enough to be a bit of a head turner, and not too sweet! (I am very sensitive to sweetness).
Honestly for the price this is a real treat, and way more interesting than a lot of stuff on offer at your average mall.

I’ve been getting more and more into gourmand perfumes lately, ever since I fell in love with Thierry Mugler’s Angel. When browsing perfumes at Lush, the solid version of this was one that I sampled on my wrist, unsure about what I thought about it at the time. A few hours later, though, when I “checked in” with the fragrance, I was completely floored. The warm vanilla, the underlaying smokiness, the cotton candy sweetness, the black pepper whiffs.. To me this perfume is simultaneously sexy, a little bit dark and a lot whimsical, and I love it. I also love Lush’s description of it; “both bitter and sweet, representing a parting of ways and celebrating new beginnings.” I don’t know how a perfume can tell a story like that, but it’s spot on what this perfume is all about.
As mentioned above, I first sampled the solid version of this in store. Since Lush’s products are severely ramped up in price in Sweden, and I had a London trip booked in the near future, I was planning on buying the liquid/spray perfume during that trip. Once there, I sampled the liquid/spray version before buying, and I wasn’t as sure about the scent anymore. I found it to be less balanced – more smoke and spice and less rounded off with sweetness. I passed up buying it, thinking I’d have a new look around for cruelty free perfumes. 6 months later I ended up ordering the solid version on a whim during their boxing day sale, and I haven’t regretted it even the slightest bit. I don’t know how big the difference really is between the two formulations, but from my own experiences, the solid version is the clear winner.
One con with the solid version is that it has some gold glitter in it, to my annoyance. Luckily, it doesn’t show up as much on the skin as you think it would from looking at it in the tin. I would’ve preferred it without glitter altogether though, since I don’t want to have odd specks of glitter on my neck/wrists etc.
I think this solid perfume has a better staying power than the solid version of Karma, though still not as good as a perfume you spray on will. But for the lower price and the ease of carrying/reapplying the solid perfume, that’s okay.
I like this almost as much as I like Mugler’s Angel. And like Angel, this perfume is probably not for everyone (case in point: my sister think it’s madness), but I’m completely sold on it. If anyone like how this scent mellows down, but not the initial smokiness, I’d say try Lush’s Vanillary instead. It’s a more uncomplicated, yet just as lovely scent from Lush, and my very favourite (burnt) vanilla scent of all time.
+ Cruelty free
+ Vegan
+ Unlike any other perfume I’ve ever smelled
+ The solid version will last me ages, even considering I might apply it more than once in a day

All Good Things is a sweet and smokey scent from Lush. It smells like warm vanilla and fairy floss with a unique, smokey overtone. It has good lasting power on the skin, it lasts all day. The drydown becomes a lot sweeter than the more smokey top notes. This perfume does smell different on every person however, so do try it before you buy. It is a complex fragrance. One of my favourites from Lush.

It´s a very good scent, much more woody than sweet, but a little sweet when on skin.
It´s very different from the typical perfumes. I think it can be unisex.

This is one of my Favorite LUSH perfumes! It reminds me of part of the fragrance incorporated into LUSH’s bath bomb, The Experimenter. I give this product a 10 put of 10 as I love how I smell and feel when I wear this perfume. It’s youthful but maturely textured while being sweet and sexy all at the same time. It’s different and uniquely LUSH. Since January, I’ve gone through 3 bottles of LUSH’s All Good Things.

This is out in the States now, and I’ve tested it a few times and decided I don’t like it. The notes are cade, rose, tonka & cedarwood. It actually reminds me of a sickly sweet, smokey- caramel Vanillary. You can’t wash this stuff off, either. If you like long lasting gourmand scents, it’s worth checking out, I just thought it was way too heavy and sweet.
