I was on BeautySpin looking for some new Oriental niche fragrances to try. I have recently become interested in niche perfumes and was looking for some inexpensive ones to try. So I saw this company Al Haramain and read that they have been in the perfume business since 1970. Also there prices for pure perfume were so reasonable I picked up four bottles of perfume oil to try. My favorite of them all is the Madinah it says it’s an Oriental fragrance and these are the notes from Fragrantica:
Rose, Geranium, Davana Blossoms, Bergamot, Orange
Middle note: Rose, Jasmine, Orchid, Clove, Saffron
Base note: Musk, Amber, Sandalwood, Cedar wood, Cashmere wood
First it is so well blended the oil comes in a simple glass bottle with a roller ball. It has Al Haramain etched into the glass in both Arabic and English. It comes in a cigarette box it’s kinda cool. It’s beautifully decorated with geometric flowers and the oil itself is clear. This smells so divine to me. The way they mixed these scents smells expensive. You only need the smallest drop on and it wears very close to the skin so I would say it’s work appropriate. I have received many compliments when someone gets close to me asking what am I wearing.
The bottle is small you get 15ml but because you only need a drop this will last a long time. I use it to perfume my hair and this scents can last up to 24 hours on me. I’m so happy I took a leap and did a blind buy from this company. I am so impressed and anyone who appreciates well blended orientals I think would like this brand. This is a Arabic niche fragrance from the UAE. I like trying products from all over the world and this was a great start. There packaging is really well done and there regular fragrances have amazing packaging as well. You can tell this company cares about what they make.
I also read that they have the largest Oud collection in the world. I want to try a traditional Oud next and will be buying more pure perfume from them. They make 15 of them and you can find them most reasonable priced on BeautySpin. The most expensive one was 11$ so it’s a reasonable price for a blind buy in my case. If you’re into trying perfumes from around the world or are into niche scents this is a company to try. They blend them so well and they smell like they are from an expensive company. I’m very happy with Madinah it’s a unisex scent but I feel it is better for women then men due to how flowery it smells. I’m sure a confident man could pull this off though. Can’t wait to try more I’m eyeing their Musk next.:) Recommended.
