I bought this on a whim during a trip to Bath & Body Works. I was pleasantly surprised at the amazing quality of this perfume! However, sensitive skin BEWARE: if you spray this directly on your skin, this may cause irritation!
PROS:
-not too strong
-lingers, but only slightly
-smells good
-working mist
CONS
-the packaging doesn’t allow me to see that clearly on how much is left
– irritates my skin if I were to spray it directly on my skin (can be remedied by spraying on clothing)
It’s obviously quite good, and I will keep on repurchasing this!

This is a lovely scent, its effervescent, bubbly, feminine, chic, classic, floral, mildly sweet and refreshing. I turned 30 this year and was looking for something a little more sophisticated but still fun and flirty. My mom recommended this and initially I was turned off (who wants to smell like their mother lol). Upon second glass I noticed the sparkly red bottle with diamond accents, it was Christmas so I got it as a gift and am very pleased!
I noticed some younger girls enjoying this scent in store as well so it’s totally not a grandma scent I think it’s lovely for any age it smells like a high end well balanced sophisticated perfume.
I only gave 4 stars though because the staying power sucks. I know it’s a body mist but I feel like it airs away within 5 minutes. It does leave a lingering aroma I can smell when I get close to where I sprayed… I got a travel size version as well so I can stick in my purse for a quick respritz as needed. I actually like it for college because it’s “scent free” so I don’t have to worry about offending anyone but I can still smell a subtle hint on myself lol.

I never picked this up because it was never part of the deals or sales until now. It reminds me a lot of Amber Blush, but not as spicy. Overall it’s an alright fragrance. I probably wouldn’t purchase again because I got sick of Amber Blush really fast and now this reminds me of that fragrance so I’m not too crazy about it.

I received this as a gift set and love the smell. It is not too strong, and smells really fresh. I have the gel, lotion and Fine Fragrance Mist. It smells quite fresh. I will be using this a lot to perk up the long winter days.

Will be purchasing the body lotion soon as I only have the mist. Love it! Not fruity or too sweet but more of a mature scent BUT doesn’t smell like grandma.
Sorry I don’t know how to describe scents better but I will say this smells fancy, sophisticated, and expensive.

I was looking for something new at B&BW the other day, and the SA suggested A Thousand Wishes. Neither the name nor the packaging particularly impressed me, but I was happy to sniff it on card. I immediately thought it smelt similar to Amber Blush as I could detect the champagne note in it. I already own Amber Blush shower gel, body spray, and lotion, and whilst I liked A Thousand Wishes well enough, I did not want to purchase something that was essentially the same fragrance as Amber Blush.
I checked the notes for Amber Blush and A Thousand Wishes and saw that they shared some notes, most notably champagne but also amber, sandalwood, and musk. However, other notes were quiet different. Amber Blush contains raspberry, apricot, suede, mandarin orange, magnolia, star anise, gardenia, jasmine, and bergamot whilst A Thousand Wishes has none of these latter notes. The bergamot and mandarin orange in Amber Blush give it a much more citrusy top whilst the champagne gives it a good deal of fizziness. A Thousand Wishes has neither the citrusy top nor the persistent fizziness of Amber Blush. Hence, whilst they are perceived as having some slight family resemblance, overall they are different enough to be distinguished from one another.
I was inspired by the promise of a creamy almond note in A Thousand Wishes as I love nutty notes, so I bought the shower gel and the body creme and tried them for the first time today. I am happy to say that A Thousand Wishes fulfilled my hope that it would be full size bottle worthy.
Whilst A Thousand Wishes is similar to Amber Blush, it is different enough to stand on its own as a unique fragrance. It is not as strong of a fragrance as Amber Blush. I found it is much softer, and the champagne note is not as pronounced. Unlike Amber Blush, it does not impart any “fizziness.” I was pleased on the deep dry down of the body creme to pick up on a creamy almond note and a warm amber note along with a nice woody sandalwood and a hint of musk that blended perfectly with the persistent but soft champagne note. The almond note is soft but quite nice, and combined with the amber and sandalwood in the base, it makes for a very warm and snuggly fragrance.
I am happy to say I like A Thousand Wishes enough to purchase the body spray and maybe even the EdT now. It smells quite seductively sweet and alluring given the base notes, and I think it would make a very nice year round scent. I think the fruit and florals would be more noticeable during the warm weather months, and the base notes would really shine on crisp, cold days. A Thousand Wishes is very nice, and I am very surprised as I did not expect it to be this nice. I would not say it is terribly “special,” but as such fruity-floral fragrances go, it is far nicer than most I have sniffed. I am so glad the SA suggested it because I probably never would have tried it had she not done.
My first tier, favourite B&BW are still Sensual Amber, Cashmere Glow, and Dark Kiss. The second tier includes A Thousand Wishes, Amber Blush (now retired and available on-line only), and Twilight Woods. (I would just mention here, however, that Twilight Woods is totally misnamed. There is nothing woody and/or dark about it unless one considers “dark berries” enough to make a fragrance “dark.” It is, however, a lovely fragrance with notes of dark berries, mimosa, apricot, frangipani, and coconut, and it also also works well year round.)
Notes for A Thousand Wishes:
Top Notes: Champagne, Carambola (Star Fruit), and Quince.
Heart Notes: Peony and Freesia.
Base Notes: Amber, Almond Creme, Sugar, Sandalwood, and Musk. (this fragrance really shines in the base notes!)
I like the dry down best. If I concentrate and inhale deeply, I am able to detect all of the base notes, and they do smell wonderful! This is a well blended fragrance. I think anyone who wears these base notes well can wear this fragrance well. As with all of my B&BW fragrances, projection, sillage, and longevity will be excellent whence the matching products are layered with the body spray and/or the EdT.
Fragrance: 8.5/10
Projection: 8/10
Sillage: 8/10
Longevity: 9/10

I have been loving this for fall and winter. It has better perfume quality than a normal body mist but the staying power of a mist. I like that because I tend to get a headache from perfumes so I like mists but I don’t want to smell like a fruit cocktail, hence why I say this has a perfume-y quality. It smells great but isn’t so heavy. It will fade throughout the day but I don’t mind respritzing. To me, it smells sweet, a tad floral but has effervescence. Lol, if that means anything to you. One of the notes is supposed to be champagne so I guess that is what that is from. I would definitely buy again if I didn’t find anything that I liked as much.

My GO TO scent for a fun flirty day and it smells so young and playful. Not to strong and will require reapplyimg but when matched with the body wash, lotion amd this b.spray it’s like heaven and a great fall, winter scent.

Let me say that I LOVE THIS SCENT! A Thousand Wishes is a deep musky fruit & floral scent. This is definitely one of the best newer scents BBW has came out, if not thee best. The smell is great and has great lasting power, especially paired with its lotion counterpart. The scent is a bit on the stronger side, but it’s not too potent. I’ve already used up half the bottle and will repurchase ASAP when I run out.
