Prior to purchase, I read contradictory reviews of the Sachajuan Hair Fragrance, with some claiming it smells fruity and floral, white others musky and masculine. Turns out they were both correct! When I first unpacked this product, I sprayed it on my hands and thought it smelled divine! Fruity definitely, with delicate wafts of musk. The following day, I applied it on my hair and, to my dismay, it gave off a distinctly retro masculine, musky scent! Think Old Spice light. I couldn’t believe it. I was on my way to work and it was too late to wash it off! I did dampen a towel to wipe the fragrance off my hair, but the smell still lingered. And it did stay for the whole working day. So, longevity is a positive point, and so is the clean packaging. In short, on hair, this is a linear old-fashioned strong masculine scent – no transient opening, no dry down. On skin, this is more dynamic: it opens with a nice, crisp musk for a few seconds, then develops into a beautiful fruity scent (lasting up to 30 minutes, more or less), until it brings forth old-school masculine scent where it stays and ends.
I use the Sachajuan Hair Cleansing Cream and love the scent of that. Too bad they chose not to use the smell of their Cleansing Cream for their hair fragrance.
