I bought but returned this. For context, I was trying out alternatives to Glossier’s Skin Tint, and based on reviews I thought I would really like this. It was fine, but gave me a kind of matte finish even with my sunscreen underneath. It has very little coverage, which I expected, but I guess I was hoping it would make my skin glowier as well. Instead it just barely blended out redness and disappeared. The texture is also TOO watery. You’d get more bang for your buck diluting a higher coverage foundation with your moisturizer rather than buying a special, watered-down one….
I ended up returning this because I like Skin Tint better. But I can totally see how this might work out for someone else, especially if you want low coverage but not a very dewy look. The bottle was also very nice.

after many many failed attempts with similar products- Mac face and body, perricone no foundation, algenist serum, tarte(a good second place!), so many more, this one is perfect. first of all NO SILICONES a dream come true and so hard to find. I have figured out dimethicone breaks me out and it’s in everything. It just so happens to not be in this. Coincidence? I think not. It’s dewy and so so Skin like. It doesn’t look like foundation at all. In fact I tried this out after a girl who looked like she had no foundation on (but really nice skin!) had this on. You can’t use a silicone based primer with it or it will sit on top of your skin. It lasts until lunch on me and I usually need a touch up slightly but I have oily skin! It doesn’t not make me overly oily like Mac face and body. The glow is very natural but definitely glowy. Great color range, makeup forever is made for professionals so it is high quality. It’s pricey but not as much as designer foundation so I can’t complain too much.

I have older, dry but pretty good skin. This is my hg now.
I see people saying how finicky this is to apply, and I’m going to tell you the trick. Have a damp blending sponge handy.
1. Don’t use primer. Use oil if you’re dry. I use Cerave oil.
2. Dampen your hands.
3. Use a full pump and spread it on your hands like moisturizer.
4. Apply like moisturizer, palms and fingers, rub and pat.
5. Look in a mirror and use the sponge to even out swirls, or (unlikely) patchiness.
The dampened hands give a bit more slip and lengthen the dry down time.
If you want to build it, use a dense flat topped brush to stipple where you need it.
Hth.

barely provides any coverage…it does feel lightweight but not reallly worth it when it doesnt cover..lol. WAY too expensive!

I’m giving this five stars but, like a reviewer below, it’s with the caveat that while this is perfect for me, and exactly what I wanted in a foundation at this stage of life, it’s definitely not for everyone.
I’m in my mid-40s and my skin is sometimes very dry – especially in winter – but otherwise pretty good aside from some normal signs of ageing. As I get older a lighter foundation with a softer, more dewy finish works best for me. I don’t need a lot of concealing or coverage.
With that in mind, this foundation was suggested to me by a consultant at Sephora and I’ve been very happy with it. I wore MUFE’s original face and body Modelling Fluid in the 90s that was an early precursor to this and loved that too, wearing it until the late 90s when it was discontinued. So there were already good associations encouraging me to give this a try.
This has a light coverage, but for me it’s more than enough (especially if I do more than one layer). I’ve found, as per another reviewer below, that the fastest and easiest way to apply this with the best results is with a stippling brush. It dries quickly, so you need to be pretty fast and even with your application. Likely not the best choice if you prefer using your fingers.
So, in summary, if you don’t need your foundation to be a concealer, and/or your skin is dry, and you like a soft, diffused sort of finish, and you’re pretty handy and speedy with a makeup brush, this could be well worth a try.

I have to give a bad packaging because I accidentally broke the bottle . The finish is very skin like , thin and a cross between matte/ dewy. Coverage is Low to low medium . The hard part was the application process as it is not the spreadable type

This is a review I’ve been hesitant to write since this foundation is everything I’ve been looking for but is also the most finicky foundation to apply. The original mufe f&b was my hg for years. I went through probably 10 bottles of it so I was very upset when the reformulated it. Waterblend f&b is thinner consistency than the original and provides less coverage. However, I layer it with fingers and am able to build up to a medium-sheer coverage. I find it best to apply with fingers, kind of smear it around and let it get tacky, then continue to work into skin with fingers. I do this in layers and apply 3 layers to achieve medium coverage. I have acne scars, so I spot conceal with nars soft matte concealer and use it undereyes as well. As annoying as this foundation is to apply, it really is the most skin-like and long lasting foundation I’ve tried. It just looks like I was born with perfect skin. What more could I want!! I use LM translucent finishing powder on top and find it works best without a primer actually. I won’t say it’s 100% transfer proof but i have yet to found a foundation that is. I wear Y405 which is a little dark but I find because it’s so sheer the color is forgiving. It is the weirdest gel-like watery consistency but the result is skin that still looks like skin if that makes sense. I will be repurchasing even though it doesn’t stack up to the original f&b. It’s such a pain to apply with fingers but the end result is worth it

I’ve used this foundation for years back when it was a slightly different formula under face & body. While it’s not perfect, it’s truly the best I’ve found.
This foundation is very light and airy and great for daily use. Coverage is slightly buildable. I have acne prone skin with dry patches but tend to get oily by the end of the day. This is absolutely not the most mattifying, oil-controlling foundation out there but certainly not the worst. It plays very well over dry patches and looks natural. It also feels very nice on your skin because of the water-base. It applies lighter and then dries darker. The finish is slightly dewey. This foundation has decent lasting power and fades nicely. You can wear this for 12 hours and while it will certainly fade, it won’t make you look ridiculous and streaky or like your face is melting off by the end of the day.
My only 2 caveats are that I wish this foundation had slightly more coverage and stayed matte slightly longer but YMMV. I would be really upset if this was discontinued. I’ve never found another foundation that could come close to a replacement.

I’ll be honest I hated this when I first bought it. I threw it to the back of my stash but it intrigued me because even though I hated it at first I loved the finish and staying power. It’s basically IMPOSSIBLE as you all know to find a light, radiant foundation that stays put. Everything else is sticky or too dewy… and definitely doesn’t set. So I decided to experiment a little more and I finally found a better way to apply it and now I love this foundation so much!!!
Okay first things first
1. Do not buy this foundation if you expect anything over a light coverage. You will be disappointed.
2. This will not look on very textured skin.
3. Do not use a silicone primer with this. This is a largely water based foundation and silicone and water don’t mix.
4. Applying this solely with a sponge is a bad idea.
I like to apply a water based serum and my normal moisturizer and let that set. Then, how I like to apply this is firstly with my hands until you can feel the tug and pull. This is the product setting. Once it becomes too difficult to spread with my hands I even out the edges with a synthetic foundation brush. Then I repeat the process if I want to add another layer. You can layer this but anymore than two layers I think you’re kinda reaching. Then once I’m happy with coverage I dab any brush stokes left behind with a beauty blender and set with Laura Mercier translucent powder before adding my bronzer and blush. I just find it applies much better. My biggest advice with this is to give it time to set and do it’s thing. And don’t expect to get full coverage. The only thing I don’t love about this product is the strong floral scent but it does go away after application.

So light it does nothing to enhance my skin. Looks like very watered down foundation. The color won’t even stick. Ugh
