   I don’t know why I keep buying foundations, they are generally too heavy for my dehydrated skin (Tretinoin nightly). I think the older you get, sheer foundations and tinted moisturizers are the way to go.

   I decided to get a sample of this, before splurging, probably not the best color for me, but I was in a hurry. I really, really like it. It’s sheer and very natural looking, while evening out skin tone. If you have anything to cover, like blemishes or age spots, you are going to need concealer….and I really don’t notice any shimmer/glow. Just smooth, natural looking skin. I’ve worn it twice for a full day, over moisturizer and tinted sunscreen, no primer. It still looked good at the end of the day, I didn’t notice any worn off areas or settling into lines.

   Will definately be getting color matched and buying a full size!

   I have oily skin however in the winter it can get dehydrated so I always like to use a tinted moisturizer. I have tried many brands and like this one best. It gives good coverage with a natural glow. Because of my skin type I can only wear this during the winter months which is too bad because I really do love it. I have and will repurchase again.

   This is amazing for evening out skin tone and adding a glow to the face. I apply this about 3-5 minutes after my moisturizer, one pump, applied with fingers. It goes on very smoothly and stays in place all day, no oxidation, no breakouts.

   HG, one tube lasts forever, have and will continue to repurchase.

   I have 6 foundations at the moment, and had in past 2 years at least 5 more, going from Estee Lauder, Shiseido, Lancome, Clinique…to L’oreal, Maybelline etc
   This is at the moment my favorite foundation. It is spring time, I want something light and hydrating and this is Perfect.

   First, it has so many skin beneficial ingredients, from hyaluronic acid, antioxidants to vitamine E… that one can really feel the benefit of wearing it.
   It is so light weight that it doesn’t feel like I’m wearing anything at all, and most importantly the coverage is here but completely without the all non desirable things (settling in fine lines, shining in T zone, patches…) too many other foundations have.
   It is light to medium, but buildable. I use it for every day and apply with hands and fingers. I didn’t use beauty blender or brush because I wan’t thin and light layer.

   This foundation doesn’t dry, it doesn’t oxidase, it doesn’t accentuate lines, it covers the pores, it spreads so easily and evenly all over the face creating the perfect veil of colour. It is water based, without oils and silicones, so it doesn’t clog the pores and doesn’t break me out. The consistency is watery, but that actually helps to be spread evenly with the smallest amount. I can’t find one single thing I don’t like about it, and this is first time in my life that I say that about a foundation.

   I am so happy that I have found it.

   I like this product, it gives a light/medium coverage with a dewy finish.
   I am 33years old with dry skin, since it is hydrating it is great for me but I dont think you will like this if you have oily skin, it starts to get abit shiny on my dry skin after 3-4 hours but nothing abit of powder can’t fix.
   The coverage is pretty light so if you want to cover blemishes or texture I don’t think it is the right product for you.
   I find it blends in easily with fingers then I just go over slightly with a foundation brush, set with powder and I get 6-8 hours of wear in the cooler months, definalty wears of quicker it hot/humid climates.

   Im surprised at the low review scores of this product. I’ve been using it for almost a year and it’s sort of my perfect my skin but better foundation. For reference I am mid 30s oily/reactive/combo skin. This foundation is very glowy and dewy yet no other foundation has looked more natural. No sparkly mica in the formula just a very hydrating formula that feels like skincare and base together. Surprisingly it has a tendency to highlight dry flaky patches on skin. I always moisturize beforehand and I use a moisturizing spf by dr. Jart.

   I was advised by the associate at Sephora to apply just using your hands and spread it all over the skin. I agree this yields the best application. The coverage is definitely sheer to medium but I just feel like I look so much better with it and have received a surprising amount of compliments on my skin since using it.

   I have combo skin and am 42yrs old but frequently am asked how I have kids in college ???? I never wore foundation until I got Lyme disease last year and started treatment and the broken capillaries on my face (for multiple reasons) make me look like I have a red mask on. So since IPL isn’t an option while being treated for Lyme (the meds make you uber-hyper sensitive to UV rays!!) I started my quest for a foundation that would look natural, yet help cover the redness.
   I bought this in B10 and B20 unsure of how my oily T zone might oxidize (I read that was a thing) and gave it a whirl since the chic at Sephora made it look so good.
   First time I used my HG Veil Primer (SPF people!! So important and one of the reasons I checked out YSL first) and a wet/wrung out beauty blender. Just don’t. Just put it down. Beauty blenders May be for some but with this formula it seemed to give it a grainy look. Then add more to hide grainy look. It was a disaster.
   Second day (I’m home all day so I can look like crap for 8 hrs and wash my face when the sun is down and try again…
   So second day. HG Veil Primer and a synthetic kabuki brush. Better application. I’d say I even did a great job at blending the B10 in the T zone and B20 around the contours. And then set with Laura Mercier setting powder translucent (also a new buy…and have since moved onto HG setting powder. So much better for me)
   Any way I felt pretty darn beautiful for about 3 hours. And then I noticed after I blew my nose that Rudolf had shown up and I went the last hour at church looking like a flaming idiot and no one said a word. ???? Bless their hearts.
   Third try. Straight on the face after toner and it stayed better/lasted longer than with primer. ????
   But still oil slick after 6 hours.
   Back to Nordstroms to return those and bring home the YSL Cushion. B20. It seems to be my face color in a bottle. I’ll have to go review that. I am still using it with the HG Veil primer and Hg setting powder and HG finishing powders (oh man I love those!)
   I did purchase the YSL All Hours In B20 and haven’t had an excuse to try it yet.
   Anyone have any helpful tips on broken capillaries (I use witch hazel as a toner so one thing I’m already trying) I’m all ears! Or…red. I’m all red.

   I received this as a sample so i’m glad that I tried it out before committing to $80 AUD. This looks nice for about 3-4 hours after application, there’s a nice glow and smooth finish. This works better without any primer in my opinion, as it’s more prone to sliding if you have another layer underneath.

   However, for someone who is 23 and has non-problematic skin, this seemed to accentuate my pores for some reason. I’ve never had this issue before. On top of that, I’ve started getting these weird red bumps in the centre of my face which is something i’d NEVER had with any other type of foundation. It seems like there’s alot of skin irritants in this foundation (possible due to the fragrance?). I’d probably give it one more shot after my skin has calmed down but IMHO it’s not worth it.

   I guess my 3 Star rating is a lot higher than the others on here so far, but I probably wouldn’t buy this stuff again either. I have yellow undertones with olive skin and have found happiness with L’Oreal Pro Matte 104. I’m about an NC30. I bought this in B50 in the spring when I was looking for some sheer coverage that I could wear easily in daytime. I guess I just really wanted this product to work. It looks darker in the tube than it does on the skin, which is unusual for foundation. On my hand, B50 might seem too dark, but it seems to work ok with my complexion.

   PROS: sheer, light coverage.

   CONS: pills like crazy if you try to layer it over any other moisturizer (I’ve tried all kinds of different formulations and ingredients). Works best when it’s applied to bare skin like a moisturizer, and therefore is not something that I’d want to use in winter when I need richer creams. This also makes it hard to spot-cover certain areas, therefore defeating the purpose. I wanted something sheer and light that I could just use on my cheeks, for example, but because of the way you have to apply this, I end up putting it over my whole face.

   It does look a bit shiny/greasy, but that can be managed with powder and blotting papers. It’s August now and I’ll probably just try to finish it so that it runs out and then move on. It’s not a total dud and I’m glad that I bought it during a department store sale, but I don’t think it’s worth the money tbh.

   Lastly, the scent reminds me *a lot* of Paul Mitchell awapuhi shampoo! It’s pretty mild and I’m ok with it.

    Was very excited to try this one. Tried it in store and it made my skin glow and I liked the medium coverage. However, after a while, it looked greasy and cakey on my fairly dry combination skin. I sort of liked the shiny (and glowy) effect, but it did not go well on dry patches. It also made me break out. Used it for about three weeks.
