This is the “foundation” for me this whole summer! I live in very hot tropics where any makeup will melt within seconds of walking out of the door. Hence I always use very lightweight BB/CC cream for summer. I prefer BB over CC for greater coverage, but was given this Sekkisei CC cream as a gift so didn’t want to waste it. I agree that it almost doesn’t any coverage at all and is really just a skin tone corrector. Anyway it was just about me having to add a thin layer of concealer and it wasn’t an issue for me. My makeup has been able to last for almost a day! I’m happy to repurchase, but may still want to try out other products when I finish the whole thing :p
EDIT: down to 3 lippies. My sensitive skin broke out so badly after one use in a while.

This cc cream doesn’t really have much coverage and very lightweight on the skin. It’s only good for color corrector. This is for those who wants a (no makeup , makeup look) and a very natural finish. Suitable for my combo skin. I feel like this cc cream function is more to skincare than makeup because it doesn’t break me out like the others did to me and I love how it comes with a PA++++ ????.

This is really good. Good coverage, not oily/sticky, feels light and natural for my combination skin that has redness and tiny bumps.
Did not break me out.
EDIT 30/3/17
Too drying for my combi skin. Dry patches show up after awhile. Back to using Missha Perfect Cover BB now.

For the last 3 years I have been using Kiehl`s BB cream as my summer foundation because of the high SPF and the natural, sheer finish. I don`t like a heavy base for summer, it just doesn`t look so natural or fresh in my opinion. Recently so many high SPF tinted moisturizers have been coming on the market in Japan, that I wanted to see how they compare. I`ve been using Sekkisei CC cream for a month now, by alternating it from day to day with Kiehl`s BB and here`s the breakdown:
1) Same SPF 50, but Sekkisei supposedly is PA++++ while Keihl`s is only 3+`s.(I don`t put much stock in this, I just re-apply a sunscreen powder every 2 hours if I`m in the sun)
2) MUCH easier to blend than Kiehl`s because it is more watery and takes longer to set.
3) Better color correction (at least for my complexion; I am fair but have lots of red in my skin, esp.in summer)
4) Higher coverage (although still very natural, “no makeup” look) which can be built up to medium.
5) Lasts longer than Kiehl`s with powder touch-ups.
6) Hygienic pump dispenser that is easy to control.
7) Debatable, since it depends on taste: “nicer” fragrance than Kiehl`s, although it dissipates fast.
8) Better priced (at least 10USD less, esp.in Asia)
9) Same finish as Kiehl`s, though a bit less dewy.
Supposedly this is a plant-based product free of mineral oils. It is supposed to be hydrating and act like a serum as well. It contains a sebum absorbing powder that keeps it from oxidizing.(to which I can attest as my skin is UAE-oily yet this didn`t turn orange on me). The “whitening effects” I was suspicious of initially: I am a damn Caucasian so WTH would I need to get any whiter?! However what the brains behind that translation meant was that the sunscreen in this prevents hyper-pigmentation, hence you won`t get darker, which I`m totally cool with. Very happy with this, as it looks great, lasts, and feels light on the skin, so will definitely repurchase.
