This makeup base applies smoothly and evens out your skintone. I usually use 1.5 pumps of this on my face after applying sunscreen (both using my fingers). It does make your skin look fairer, which doesn’t bother me because the color blends perfectly with my liquid foundation.
The best part of this makeup base is that it makes my complexion silky smooth and dewy. No problems with it being oily whatsoever (even though I have combi skin).

I received a sample of this when I bought Kose Sekkisei sun protector. The base gives a matte finish, covered my pores, controls the amount of oil on my face. However, I have normal/dry skin to begin with so I’m not concerned with the problems mentioned in the above statement. All I desire from a base is to moisturize, brighten and probably cover any imperfections. This base fails horribly to correct my uneven skintone because it leaves a white cast on my face. It’s worse than sunblocks! I looked like a ghost after I put this on my face.
UPDATE: I managed to brighten my face without looking like a ghost by simply applying it in the middle of my forehead, nose and the area covering form one cheekbone to the other. In short, I didn’t apply this all over my face. However, at the end of the day, my skin still looks dry.

This is a new cosmetics range of Sekkisei which incorporates skincare benefits. “Make-up base that conditions your skin with moisture boosting benefits like a beauty serum while brightening your skin”–>a cleverly summarised description in Kose’s official website. And I must say I couldn’t agree more.
Unlike conventional makeup base, this one does not come in a silicone base, which gives your face that matte and smooth look. In fact, it reminds me a lot of L’Oreals suncreen. It is lightly tinted, therefore upon application, it has already even out my skintone to an extent. This makeup base doesn’t leave my skin oil-free, however, I like that hydrated feeling because my skin tends me be on the drier side.
It did make my skin a little sticky upon application, but this is very well complemented with the Sekkisei’s Powder Foundation. I would not recommend you to use this with a liquid foundation/BB creams, as it might be too oily unless you have very dry skin or is living in winter country.
Comes with SPF 25+.
Overall, I would recommend this to you if you’re yearning to achieve that translucent-dewy look. And prime your skin with an oil-free moisturiser, anything too rich would be too ‘Rich/Oily’ to be used in conjunction with this make-up base.
