I think this is a relatively new brand from Korea. I got this from my mom (practically stole, but lol, she knows I love makeup). The website doesn’t specify if this is a BB, CC or whatever but from the claims they make, I assume that this is a BB cushon type base product. It comes with 24g of the BB and two puff thingies.
The claims are as follows: moisturising, have good coverage, strong glow game (‘honey-glow, says the website), brightening/whitening, reduce wrinkles, SPF50+/PA+++ strength sun protection. It’s also not supposed to cake up, settle in fine lines/pores, or scream “I’M WEARING MAKEUP, PEOPLE!”
I’ve only been using this for a week so I can’t say anything but #1 and 3 but damn, this is on a whole ‘nother level of makeup HG!
One of the gripes that I have with Korean base products is that they tend to have very limited colour range: 21 light beige (or some variant of that) and 23 natural beige. Koreans loooooooooove to look like pale porcelain dolls so it’s not uncommon to see them deliberately wear foundations that are a bit too light for their skin tone.
MH offers five shades: #21 Light Pink (brightening pink-based beige), #21 Natural Beige (brightening light beige), #22 Pink Beige (‘normal’ pink beige), #22 Nude Beige (‘normal’ beige), #23 Natural Beige (‘calm’ beige). I don’t know what ‘normal’ beige is supposed to look like but my best guess is the 2-3 lightest shades of foundation in North America.
I have #21 light pink and I use it as an undereye concealer and to highlight my cheekbones, centre of forehead, and the tip of nose when I’m feeling fancy. The pink undertone really helps brighten up the green/purple dark circles I’m prone to waking up with, and usually I don’t need to use a correcter underneath. It remains tacky but whenever I set it with powder, it creases up a bit.
I have either combo (oily T-zone, dry undereyes, normal elsewhere) or oily complexion that’s sensitive AF. Since this is marketed more for normal to dry skin, I was worried about the staying power. No such need, since this lasted pretty much all day even on my nose and forehead! (topped with matte powder, of course). It hasn’t broken me out either, but keep in mind that their main sunblocking ingredient is titanium dioxide. I can say that all of their claims except for the wrinkle reducing one is true. I’ll come back with an update about my wrinkles in a couple months.
The Honey Blossom version is 11% honey extract, 11% royal jelly extract, 11% propolis, 11% Damask roses (as in the whole flowers).
One fun thing about this Double Cushions is that for $1 extra, you can opt to get a special design for the case! There are over 40 designs to choose from and I know that I’ll be getting at least 3 of those designs because I’m a passionate makeup collector.
They also offer two types of Double Cushion for those with oily skin and I’m eager to try it once I run of this little gem. I strongly recommend that you check this out if you have a Korean friend who can help you navigate the website ;3
