This foundation has a lot of mixed reviews online but let me set the record straight, it sucks. The coverage is good, but the texture is AWFUL. It will bring out any little bump, pimple or blemish. It doesn’t make skin smooth- it’s the opposite, it somehow manages to highlight any skin imperfection. My husband, who never notices makeup, even pointed out to me how much more he could see all the small bumps on my face. I tried to blend it with a brush, beauty blender, I tried adding oils, nothing could save it.

This is a decent foundation, but if the color didn’t match me so perfectly I wouldn’t deal with how finicky it can be. For reference- I have dry, dehydrated skin with hormonal acne on my chin, sebaceous filaments around my nose, and some flaking on my forehead. I tend to prefer satin/dewy finish foundations with light to medium coverage.
I generally stick with my holy grail MUFE Water Blend foundation, but sometimes I want more coverage. I tried this one without reading/watching any reviews because the color match was spot-on, which is pretty rare for me, and the stick format is good for travel. Overall it’s a pretty decent foundation. It’s a strong medium coverage and is pretty buildable, 2 layers usually gives me full coverage. It has a satin-matte finish that doesn’t emphasize texture too much. It’s not too dry and doesn’t have a cream to powder finish like most stick foundations, but it’s not greasy or slippery either. It’s also pretty blendable; it takes a bit of buffing, but nothing too crazy. It dries quickly though, so I suggest working in sections. The lasting power with a primer and powder/setting spray is pretty decent, I generally get 6-8 hours before it starts to crease and break down on my nose. I also like that it actually sticks to my nose- most foundations tend to get splotchy/patchy on my nose and this one goes on pretty smoothly.
There are downsides to this foundation, though. First of all- your skin has to be prepped really well. Hydrated, but not overloaded with product. And you have to be careful with primers- this does NOT play well with silicone primers. It will just ball up/ pill up and sit on your skin looking super bumpy. I generally use a hyaluronic acid serum, a light cream moisturizer, and the Becca backlight primer with this. Anything more and it *will* bunch up. Also, it can tend to settle in any fine lines you have. I have faint lines in my forehead and smile lines and this settles if I’m really expressive or my skin is drier that day. I’m pretty sure this would not have good oil control, either. I have very dry skin so that’s not an issue for me, but when it’s warm and I get a touch of oil on my nose it comes off in patches pretty quickly.
Overall, it’s an OK foundation if you just want a portable option and find a good color match. There’s a good amount of product so I probably won’t want to repurchase by the time I use this up, but for my needs (occasional medium-full coverage in a satin matte finish) I like this enough to keep using until I run out.

ever since seeing Sarah Michelle Gellar on the Rimmel advert have I wanted to try a stick foundation. This was a little disappointing. Its a bit greasy and slides into lines quite well- but if you like a nice full coverage foundation, this might be the thing for you. I only tend to use this as a concelaer though cos I prefer a sheerer finish. As always, to sephoras advantage is the large colour range so you’ll always find something to suit. D.xx
