Sadly my #1 HG foundation and its discontinued in the US 🙁
I love this foundation! I wear it in a shade 2. Shade 2 matches my pale skin perfectly. I like to put two drops on the back of my hand and then smooth it on with a dense buffing brush. Its BEAUTIFUL.
The glow on this is unreal. The pigment settles in so naturally and doesnt get into lines or dry patches. The “oil” just gives it such a wonder texture and feel on skin.
I love the dropper for it as well. Anything that makes my makeup routine feel a bit more decadent is an A+ for me.
The only negative is that this did get a little oily on me towards the end of the bottle and seemed very heavy.
I’d 100 repurchase if I could!

This is a good foundation, but a bit brownish for my skin tone. It takes a bit longer to adhere to the skin, and it lasts around 5h. I have changed it to Mac water weight foundation, which I find is better.

Oil-based foundations were practically on the verge of extinction. There was the forgotten legend, Countess Isserlyn Liquid Makeup and that was pretty much it. Then Multimedia Makeup came on the scene. Then this foundation. Oil in makeup is hot now. Oil-based foundations tend to be runnier than water and silicone and require mixing prior to use. This is considered to be sheer but it’s actually quite easy to get fuller coverage without looking too cakey. It also stays on and keeps looking fresh. If you want to explore a missing link in the evolution of foundation, give this one a try.

SEEMS TO BE DISCONTINUED??? (Sept. 2019)
I have impression that people who are reviewing this foundation and saying that it looks bad on dry skin maybe are not reviewing the GLOW version?
This is seriously hands down the best foundation for a dry, dehydrated, 40 years old skin. When you that age and all your life you battled with tight, flaky and sometimes even painful skin that drinks any makeup product right up I seriously encourage you to get a sample of this. Surprise surprise Armani counter at my local Harvey Nichols gave me one without too much grumbling. It is important to check the foundation’s colour in daylight and how it spreads when you apply it yourself on a dark morning when you’re in a hurry rather than the makeup artist in an artificial light of the department store, with their £45 foundation brush, duh.
I went with # 4 which is a good match for my light (but not very pale) complexion with warm undertones (Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in 20 and Dior Forever in 020). Don’t forget to shake it well and start with applying a small amount to begin with. I’ve found that fingers work best which is ideal. I usually have 15 minutes tops in the morning and no time to faff with running around wetting a beauty blender or cleaning a foundation brush. So, give it a good shake, one blob from a pipette on the top of my hand and then pat it on my face area by area as it separates quite quickly. I would say it is possible to be able to build it up to medium coverage where you need to and trust me, when you are 40, you don’t want to have a full face of caked on ‘Instagram makeup’. One drop usually covers most of my face, with the rest I deal with some pinpoint concealing so even if initially expensive (£42) it works out quite economically and it is fool proof.
It does not change the colour throughout the day, does not gather in pores or settles in lines (maybe a tiny bit when I apply too much under my eyes). I powder it lightly in the t-zone in the morning which does not seem to kill the glow luckily but makes it adhere to my skin better as the day progresses. Then a gentle blot with a separated layers of a tissue 3 hours later and the glow is toned down a bit but the coverage stays imho up to 6-8 hours.
I cannot feel it on my skin, for the first time (and I only had it with two other foundations which I’ve mentioned above but Dior needs to be sheered out with a beauty blender so it is not as fast to apply) I don’t feel my skin going tighter as the day progresses and when I catch my reflection in a mirror, it looks very natural, very healthy and youthful. A winner in my books.
It might not be an ideal summer foundation (if there is ‘too much glow’ it might be this!), even for a pretty sh*** Scottish summer but from October till April it is a godsend. It claims to have spf 30 but it is only methoxycinnamate one which is not a stable sunscreen so if you can, wear some sunscreen underneath. There is alcohol denat. listed in the ingredients but I don’t seem to have any reaction to it, nor it affects the feel of the product. Would be better if it was not there but otherwise the foundations is still ok. And my favourite one from Chanel also seems to have some of that in it.
It helps to have a nicely exfoliated (so no dry skin flakes as it will adhere to it but pretty every foundation will) and moisturised skin before the application. I did not find that any makeup base made it look any better than when applied directly to the skin but if you find the one that works, please mention it in you review.
EDIT: Sadly after half the bottle it basically went bad – I guess this dipping the pipette in and out is not ideal, I will next time transfer some to a pump bottle and keep the rest in the fridge. One lippie down then.

Perfect foundation for a sheer, dewy finish.
First, a few quick words about my skin. Just finished accutane and now on a ‘maintenence dose’ (40mg /week) to keep the oiliness away. So, my skin is ‘normal’ to slightly dry but, above all else, sensitive. Large pores, some wrinkles, no blemishes.
When I first tried this, it was prior to accuntane: I had super oily and acne prone skin. I was also in LA in summer. So, basically, this lasted 3 mins before sliding off into greasy pools in my giant pores. I dismissed it as one of those ‘not for me’ products.
So, now, post accutane and my skin is *gorgeous* and I want something sheer with a luminous finish. I decided to give this another shot.
I got a sample and yet again was disappointed! I got a shade that was far too light. It just didn’t seem to spread evenly on my skin, going sheer in some areas and balling up in others.
I wasn’t going to give up so quick, though. I went back and got the correct shade for me and WOW! It works with my skin perfectly. The finish is sheer (just enough coverage to even out my skin tone) with just the right amount of glow. No chunky glitter, either. This doesnt last as long as luminous silk, but will last through the work day. Doesn’t settle into wrinkles and pores or accentuate them, either.
The texture is super runny and it has to be well shaken prior to use. And, less is more. Just a few small drops are sufficient. I also found that ‘tapping’ it onto my skin works the best. I would suggest beautyblender but it would just absorb too much product.
So, this product took a few attempts and has to be ‘just right’ for it to work. The stars have to align. I really cant stress enough how important getting the right shade is- too pale was an absolute mess. And with oily skin- nightmare.
For dry or normal skin- dream come true. Perfect amount of coverage and ‘lit from within’ glow ( I know, I know, the phrase it over-used but in this case I found it really is the best description).
This has replaced my luminous silk for summer wear. I also mix it with their fluid sheer in no. 10 for added warmth and glow. The result is amazing.
I found a small bottle for a decent price on ebay and will probably buy the full bottle when it runs out. Though I imagine that wont be for a while yet!
Remember: sample first!
Highly recommended!

When I wear this, I get compliments about how amazing my skin looks. This is a oil infused hydrating foundation with spf 30. It is a sheer to build able coverage so don’t expect it to be full thick coverage.
The best way to apply is with a brush or fingers and layer on areas for more coverage. With a beauty blender it will soak too much. If you want more coverage on a small area just tap it in with your fingers.
Make sure to powder the t zone even if you aren’t oily because it is a oil based and won’t set like your other foundation.
This foundation is very natural with no cakey finish. It leaves my skin hydrated while I’m wearing and would be even more amazing with the Armani trouble zone primer!
If it’s not working out try to apply it with fingers and powder it lightly.

Maestro Glow gives a very nice, natural looking finish on well-prepped skin. Not a thing to use if you are in a hurry as it will show up flakes if you have dry areas. I am NC10-15, and shade 2 is a good match for me. Lasting power was at least 8 hours when I used the Etude House Face Blur under, otherwise closer to 5 hours.
Plus: Nice glow, like your skin but better
Cons: Need to prep skin well, bottle is heavy, expensive
Have tons of other bases I am keen on trying so may not repurchase.

I’m a combo skin type so I hope this helps fellow combo skin types! I have NC30ish colouring and I got this is 6.25 and it is about a shade or two too light. When I dropped it on my hand it seemed ok but then it lightens as you spread it.
Now I know this says glow and some may say what was I thinking with combo skin but I’ve seen rave reviews of some really reliable fave youtubers and thought I’d give it a shot. I own “dewy” foundations and make it work with primers etc but this, No no no!!
This is just way too oily for me. Not glowy but oily. If you can imagine putting a night oil on at night then that’s what it feels like. You must set it because it stays “greasy” feeling and your blush and bronzer won’t go on nice (unless you’re using fluid or cream products)
Strangely this sat funny around my nostrils where I had some dryness which wasn’t even noticeable until I put the foundation on.
I can feel this sitting on the skin. It is by no means light. Once set with a powder some of that feeling goes away. Doesn’t look anything special on my skin. It probably looks the best about an hour in and then look out. It starts sliding.
The scent is initially a very strong alcohol scent. Then when you put it on I can smell maybe some of those oils in it but it could also be fragrance since that’s in th ingredients. The alcohol scent is awfully off putting.
Yes I have combo skin so this was a risky purchase but I wear many dewy foundations that don’t feel or slide like this. I actually don’t have any use for this now which is a shame. For $99 AUS sorry but no way! Luckily I bought it over strawberrynet for $60 and don’t feel as guilty. Get a sample is a must.

This is perfect for my dry skin! I originally fell in love with laura mercia candlight foundation but this lasts way longer and the finish is gorgeous and dewy. If you have oil skin I wouldn’t recommend though.
It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin either! I just hope I will be just as happy with it in the summer.

I’m hooked on this and the liquid blush, a little goes a long way…
Yes they are pricey but for the quality and natural look it’s wonderful
