𝑰 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏.
I’m very smitten by it! ♥
I was using Too Faced’s Peach Perfect foundation ($36) before this, which was excellent in every possible way, but I wanted to budget and see if I could find something cheaper.
Enter Soap & Glory’s Kick Ass foundation – it retails for $16 at Ulta, but it was on sale for $9.60!
I went into Ulta bare-faced just to try on foundations and compare, and it was between this foundation, or Pacifica’s foundation. I asked some sales reps which looked better and they all said Soap & Glory.
𝑵𝒐 𝒅𝒐𝒖𝒃𝒕! 𝑰𝒕 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒛𝒊𝒏𝒈. 𝑴𝒚 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒊𝒔 #2.
One big problem I have with cheaper foundations is they seem to stay tacky, or they settle to a point where every pore, line, peach fuzz, or wrinkle is exaggerated. I do not like feeling greasy and I hate when a foundation “outlines” my pores. But this Kick Ass foundation melds with your skin for a smooth, natural look.
It doesn’t feel heavy, but still has medium coverage. It looks 𝑺𝑶 𝑵𝑨𝑻𝑼𝑹𝑨𝑳 𝑶𝑵 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑺𝑲𝑰𝑵. ♥
It is slightly matte, and it would do great year-round. I’m in Texas, and it hasn’t failed me in this heat. I doubt I’ll have any issues when it starts to get cold here.
Also, my shade (#2) is SO close to my natural skin tone – plus the texture is so smooth – that it is barely detectable.
How lucky I was to find something so comparable to my former Peach Perfect foundation at 1/4 of the price! YAY
I am actually going back to Ulta to get a few more bottles before the sale ends. It’s just too good to pass up, both product-wise and price-wise. ♥ I’d say that the name of this foundation is beyond suitable for the product – it kicks ass!!
𝑶𝑵𝑬 𝑪𝑶𝑵: Although I did find my perfect match in this line, 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑳𝑳𝒀 𝑫𝑶 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒔. They are mostly warm shades, and those with very fair skin or very dark skin will likely not find a match in this range. 12 shades is just not enough to offer when the rest of the cosmetic industry is growing to match every skin tone.

I picked this up atl Walgreens, because i couldn’t find the wet & wild photo focus that I’ve been loving, and this shade (07) looked like a really good match for my skin. I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks, and for a random purchase with no real expectations, I’ve been very pleasantly surprised. The texture is medium/ thin which allows me to cover my face with one pump (sticking to me; I’m usually at least a 2 pump girl to get the coverage i want). I’ve been applying with a real techniques makeup sponge, and a little really goes a long way. I’ve got oily skin with some fine lines and blemishes, and uneven texture with some discoloration from sun damage and acne scarring – this foundation sinks in and covers evenly, I’d say medium coverage and a natural finish. I’d prefer a little more matte, but i get that from my powder.
The formulation really does last all day, with no break up or slippage, even in the steamy New Orleans summer. My skin looks even and fresh, and stays that way all day. The finish is lighter than photo focus and i really like the way it seems to sink into my skin. I don’t really have an HG foundation, so i tend to bounce around. I would definitely hold this up to department store brands, and considering its less than 10.00 I’m very pleased overall with this foundation.

I saw reviews online that this was an almost identical product to CYO’s lifeproof fdtn (the ingredients are identical) and the component is identical (plastic pump). I tested shade 02 at Ulta, way too dark. Shade 01 was too pink, so unfortunately, they need to expand their shade range. I’m NC 15/20 and shade 02 was dark on me (not even dried down). I own CYO in shade 03 and its a tad dark but i kept it since the formula is clean, but i think CYO shades run a similar to this brand, and the consistency of the fdtn was identical. If CYO works for you, you may want to try this if you can find your shade. The ingredients are decent (has talc though).
