I tried this product in C23 which is supposed to have a matte finish with higher coverage.
Finish – Matte. Not really in a good way either. It’s just a drying sort of matte finish which is not flattering and makes pores more obvious. I have combination skin that is oily in the t-zone and leans toward dry everywhere else. Definitely stay away from this product if you have dry skin because this will accentuate dry patches like no other.
Coverage: Light-Medium.This is supposed to offer more coverage than the N21-N23 counterparts, but it was still not really great. It would only moderately cover acne and hyperpigmentation. Building it up would only cause the foundation to look cakey.
Staying Power: Poor. Oddly enough even though this gives a dry-matte finish, it has poor oil control and staying power. So it causes your face to turn into a greaseball throughout the day.
For Acne-prone Skin: Didn’t break me out. But it is heavily perfumed so if you are sensitive to that, beware.
Pros: The packaging is absolutely beautiful and you get a refill cushion so its good value for your money.
Overall: Very mediocre, would not repurchase.

Never thought I’d find such a perfect foundation!! I am reviewing the Iope Natural Glow Cushion. I was traveling in Seoul, South Korea, and wanted to find the best cushion so started asking all the girls I encountered (waitresses, hotel receptionists, people who started chatting with me on subway etc), what was the best cushion, and they almost all recommended Iope. Took a while to find it – it is not in most of the cosmetic shops, and once I did I was confused about which to get so bought two – the matte and the natural glow in shade 21. (I am MAC NC 15).
This (the natural glow cushion) looks like it is going on pretty sheer, but you can build it up to be a great coverage, even though it looks completely natural on the skin. It imparts such a lovely luminosity to the skin – skin looks glowing with health. I have received so many compliments on my skin since wearing this. A few months after I got it, I got pregnant, and people keep telling me I have the “pregnancy glow” and my skin looks so healthy – I tell them it’s not me, it’s my Korean makeup LOL!
Now why do I love it? It stays on ALL DAY without any slipping or sliding around even though I have a very oily face. It is the only thing I can trust to hold up the whole day and into the night, though I might retouch it after 8 hours or so just to make sure it’s looking its best. It does not settle into pores or highlight flaky patches like most foundations. And it does not settle in fine lines under my eyes but instead makes my under eyes look bright and refreshed. Too many foundations make my under eyes look dry and crepey and older than my skin looks without makeup – not this!!
The color is a tad light, but totally doable in the fall/winter/early spring after I warm it up with blush. It is very neutral so I think either a warm or cool toned person could wear this. However, it is too light for me for summer, when I usually get to be about NC 20. I like that the compact comes with 2 cushions, so that when one dries out, you have another. This makes it last a good while, even though cushions can dry out quickly.
The best method for application is the “tap and roll” where you tap it on with the sponge they give you, and roll it out to meld it into skin. Oh, and I prefer the natural glow cushion to the matte cushion – the matte cushion does not give such a vibrant healthy look to skin, but is more dull.
Sadly, I cannot find this for sale in the U.S. :-(. I found my holy grail foundation, but now don’t think I’ll be able to purchase it again. So disappointed about that!

I really wanted to love this, but I just don’t. I tried it multiple times over the course of a year. Nope. Still hate it.
I have very combination skin. It can be very oil, very dry, or both at the same time. My skin is often dehydrated and flaky but my T-zone can still be a shiny oil slick. I admit, I’m a tough customer and a lot of complexion makeup do not work for me. However, I have found quite a few products that do work. Unfortunately, this is not one of them.
The color was slightly on the light side (C#23). I have light medium neutral olive skin. Most makeup is either too pink or too orange. The hue was so-so. Not perfect, but could work. The tone was a bit light, but looked all right. When first applied, it covered fairly well for a BB/CC – about medium – with a dewy finish. But about an hour into wearing it, it starts to break up and accentuate every single dry patch and pore on my face. This is regardless of what kind of exfoliant or primer I used prior to application. I even tried different methods of setting it, but the longevity was just not there. It’s not a very good product, especially for ~$40.

I have oily and acne-prone skin that only needs minor coverage. This was the first bb cushion I’d ever tried and overall, it didn’t live up to the hype. After using it at least twice a week for over 6 months, I’ve summed up my thoughts on it:
[ PROS ]
– Provides a beautiful natural finish that is semi-matte (the dewiness is just right)
– Layers well and gives reasonable coverage for my light acne-scars; even 3 light layers doesn’t look cakey
– Does not accentuate dry patches
– Color ran a little light on my NC20 skin, but M21 still worked with a bit of bronzer
– Did not break me out and actually made my skin look a little better after wearing it daily
– Packaging is solid and feels sturdy enough for carrying around in the purse
[ CONS ]
– Requires blotting within 2 hours of application (despite using a good setting powder and setting spray)
– Coverage was nearly completely gone after an 8-hour work day
– Settles into the fine lines under the eyes
All-in-all, I would probably purchase this again based on how natural and beautiful it makes my skin look. However, I would only wear it for short errands since it really doesn’t last long at all on my very oily skin. It would likely work a lot better for those with normal to dry skin.

I am so head over heels for this foundation. I am extremely, EXTREMELY pale and find it very difficult to find foundations that match. They always appear too sun-kissed or orangey and look visibly different than my neck, hands, etc. Because this product is Korean, they catered to pale skin and this matches perfectly.
Although I don’t use a powder over this, my oily skin look fine all day. It gives me a beautiful glow and a natural highlight. It’s not too heavy/matte so I feel as if I’m wearing nothing on my face. I’ve never looked so gorgeous in photos! Price is wonderful- got mine on Amazon for $30 and it came with a replacement cushion. I’ve had this for a month now and haven’t even had to rotate the first cushion.

I love the coverage of this foundation (light-med) but I noticed it accentuated the dry patches I had around my face. Otherwise, I like it. The compact design is great and it leaves my skin looking dewy/healthy.

I have dry skin and normally use the Garnier BB Cream (mixing the Light and Medium shades). I had heard a lot about the IOPE Air Cushion so was thrilled when I received it as a gift. I got it in C23 (Cover Beige) which I had been informed is the more hydrating in the range as there is also a matte version. The Beige colour is supposed to be the darkest shade. As someone with relatively fair, yellow undertoned Asian skin, even I found their darkest shade to be too light. I found the consistency of the product to be terrible for my dry skin. It was nowhere near as hydrating as my Garnier BB cream and seriously emphasised all the dryness on my skin. I tried to ensure that I put on heaps of moisturiser before applying the product, but I still did not like the result. I even tried applying it with a damp Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge but to no avail. Still terrible results.
The product smells nice and the packaging is nice but overall I did not like this product.

I first tried this product after the lady at the beauty counter at my local Asian Grocery Superstore HMart showed it to me. That was two years and like 6 rebuys ago.
I love this stuff. I don’t really understand their coverage system. I tried both the N21 and C21 in the store, and the C21 was more natural. the N21 looked masky and obvious, even though the N is (I think) supposed to be natural and the C more coverage. In any case, the C21 looks great on my fair, cool toned skin. For color reference, I wear laura mercier tinted moisturizer in cameo, smashbox studio skin in 1.1, and MUFE HD in 210
I use the included sponge to apply this. I tap-blend it around my face like the girl at the counter showed me. It takes a very small amount to cover my whole face, looks very natural and covers my mild rosacea really well. I love that the soothing BB cream/sunscreen formula does not irritate my face, and stays put all day.
Since starting to use this a few years ago, I have seen the “air cushion” formula come to most other lines, both high and low end. I have tried a few, but always come back to this. I like that when you buy it, you get a refill. I have given this BB cream as gifts to many family members and girlfriends, and the sheer coverage and non irritating formula works for everyone.
I usually buy on amazon these days, unless I happen to be at the HMart when I am running low. I have never had a problem getting fake product or anything.

Alright…where do I start ?
I own many BB cushions, and I decided to try this one after the many good reviews I saw.
I have dry skin, NC20-25 yellow undertone.
I absolutely hated this product ! I got it in shade 23, it’s just too beige for me…but that’s quite an easy thing to fix so I can get over it. However what I dislike about it is that the product really doesn’t melt into the skin, it sits on top and NEVER settle !!! It will rub off at th slightest touch….It feels like a glaze over your face…uuughhh…I was so dissapointed since this product is so hyped up. Not worth the price
The one thing I like about it is the dewy finish, it’s very dewy, like korean celebrities, so that’s nice.

This BB cushion is absolutely amazing, love the smell, the dewy finish & coverage. It does not oxidise and give a cakey finish after hours of application. If you have dark scars & looking for extreme coverage, the basic natural & cover series may not do the job as mentioned in the older reviews below. Try opting for the latest intense cover series OR just use a concealer.
