The lightest shades work on very, very pale, very sensitive skin. No breakouts, and no irritation. No oxidation, and nothing weird in the ingredients. Also, if you’re sensitive to it, no cyclopentasiloxane.
I really like and trust this brand. They follow Swedish cosmetic standards–which means the ingredients are non-toxic. This is a really good foundation, and it doesn’t oxidize. There’s also a lot in the glass (yay, not plastic) bottle. A bottle will last a year, making this a budget friendly buy.
They have a reseller in Michigan. If you order from the website, it’s not coming to you from Sweden. You’ll get your package in a matter of days, even in the Southern U.S.

Having decided that my skin, now VERY mature, was no longer enjoying liquid foundations, I began the search for a comfortable and natural mineral powder foundation. After trying and rejecting several brands(trying samples of each) a board search took me to Idun, a Swedish brand that had very good reviews here. I ordered samples and was surprised by how much I liked how they looked and felt. I chose a color that turned out to be the best match (Disa) and ordered a regular size. At the same time I had ordered La Bella Donna mineral powder, a brand that also impressed me. Having had both for months now, it seems I turn to Idun most of the time.
Idun is, in my experience, a terrific, underrated performer that comes in great packaging, both the square box and the inner protective sieve and cover, while the powder inside both looks good on and feels like nothing. I also have the Idun Kabuki brush that works perfectly with the powder. After moisturizer, I brush the slightest bit on my face once over, and it blurs adequately for my taste. It is not too powdery, not really detectable at all, and there it stays for most of the day without any worries. It is true that I prefer a less than perfect ,more natural appearance, so some may want a more heavily loaded brush, but be warned, less is more here. Most importantly, my skin has really appreciated this change and has improved noticeably. No more breakouts and the capillaries are receding nicely. I should have started this whole change earlier. Get samples with any mineral powder,, as in the end the effort is worth it.

This stuff is fabulous. I’m pale and have a horrible time finding foundation that matches my skin. This one does, looks natural and lasts all day. I use the mineral powder or liquid norssken as the long wear one is too mask like.

I absolutely love this foundation! Last autumn I got into skincare and decided that I wanted to try a foundation with pure ingredients that didn’t break me out. I was tired of removing my quite thick layer of foundation just to reveal my poor skin underneath.. So I started to take care of my skin and as a part of that I discovered mineral foundations. At first I tried the Bare Minerals one but after a recommendation from a friend I tried the Idun one instead and now there’s no turning back haha!
The foundation is a loose mineral powder and comes in a square shaped plastic/glass packaging with a beautiful design, it’s like a work of art! The only problem is that the plastic lid is quite hard to open when the product is new, but it will loosen up after some uses. The foundation itself is a sheer mineral powder that you apply using a kabuki brush. You can easily build up the coverage, I personally prefer a light coverage. I find that the foundation blends into my natural complexion, so it’s no problem to use a shade that is a little too light or dark since it will blend in nicely (if you apply a thin layer).
I recommend this foundation to anyone with sensitive combination/oily skin! If you have dry skin it might get a bit powdery, but if you are consistant with moisturizer it should be just fine. Me myself have combination skin with dry cheeks and oily T-zone, but I put a lot of effort into skincare and moisturisation so I find that it sits well on my skin. And the best thing about it is that it’s like extended skincare! It does not break me out or irritate my skin at all, and it doesn’t itch like the Bare Minerals foundation did at times.
Conclusion: A really good foundation for anyone with sensitive skin (or just anyone) who likes a natural look. The price is quite expensive but the product will last for a long time so it’s money well spent.

I bought Iduns mineral powder, and was a little nervous because off the first rewiev, but its perfect. Its cover my face very easy and smooth, and looks very natural. The package is so beautiful, and the problems with the lid is fixed by Iduns, and its very easy to use and close. And no powder i my handbag at all. I do love.

I caved in and bought this mineral foundation in its second lightest shade, Saga. For reference, I’m a NC15-20, BE Golden Fair, Alima Warm 1, Tikei Warm 1 (sometimes Peach 1).
This mineral foundation doesn’t contain bismuth, which is good. Coverage isn’t as full as Bare Escentuals or Tikei, but it gives a lovely, satiny finish. My face looked airbrushed… for the first five minutes. Then the shade went from pale neutral to pinkish gray and it became obvious that Saga could never be a good match for me.
The jar is a pretty, square plastic one with a pretty motif on the lid. But oh boy, does it suck big time! Mineral makeup is messy most of the time, but Idun’s jars take messy to a whole new level. In addition it’s really hard to close and it opens up at slightest provocation. No closeable sifter. This means that not only is it absolutely out of the question to travel with it, but it’s pretty out of the question to use at home too.
The price was rather hefty, around $50, which is outrageous considering the lousy packaging and the fact that it didn’t stay color true.
My advice: if you want good coverage, no bismuth, great price and great customer service, choose Tikei (another Swedish brand) or Alima. If you prefer the dewier look, go for BE. Idun needs to do some homework on their foundation.
