   I have two of these. One in the “Original” colour – which is a pale, golden glow, and the other in “Golden Tan”. They both look like liquid highlighters, and if used incorrectly, probably actually are. The first time I used “Golden Tan” I applied it alone and looked like C3PO from Star Wars. Not a good look. Meanwhile, a drop of either or both mixed in with moisturizer or serum is perfection! It’s not shiny, it corrects my irregular pigmentation (I’m 46 – it’s kind of inescapable these days) and while it’s pretty undetectable, everyone’s complimenting my complexion! These little bottles are going to last forever the way I use them – one drop mixed in with serum does my face, neck & chest and eliminates the need for fake tan in the area! Love!

   I actually like this product a lot and have repurchased it multiple times. Sad to see all the bad reviews, although I understand some of the points made.

   The consistency of the product is quite thin. (If it is thick like some reviewers describe I think you got an old batch.) It dries down very quickly after application, leaving my skin looking more even and slightly glowy. I do have reasonably clear skin (and also I am too lazy to wear foundation on a daily basis) therefore I wear this on its own most of the time. If I want more even skin I will put some concealer around the nose, chin etc.

   The thing I like most about this is that it sets my suncreen. I use an organic suncreen (because most other sunscreens break me out) which for some reason does not sink in properly and leaves my skin feeling sticky. The photography foundation magically sets it in place, takes away any stickyness and leaves me feeling like I am not wearing anything on my skin.

   I have good skin and don’t really need coverage. I only use Supercity Block tinted sunscreen as makeup, occasionally dusting Absolue powder over it if I want a further blurring effect. I was bored, hadn’t tried any new products in a while, so I picked this up mostly to test its blurring abilities.

   It’s an interesting little brightener. The shimmer particles are so super finely milled, you don’t see them. Zero glitter effect. Golden hued rather than pink or white. It reminds me of the hue of MaryLoumanizer, but the effect is much more subtle. Unlike Mac Strobe, when this stuff dries, IT STAYS PUT. You can’t rub it off, it needs to be washed off.

   Definitely not suitable as a primer. It dries super fast and is difficult to work with, with fingers, sponge, brush, etc. I can’t see it filling in pores or anything like that.

   Wearing it alone requires a moisturizer before hand, or mixed with, or it’ll be patchy. It will cling to and accentuate any dry patches, so exfoliating is needed. Despite the formula being quite watery, it dries down dry, and fast.
   I can’t imagine applying this over foundation, it just doesn’t spread well or evenly enough.
   I like wearing it alone mixed with a few drops of Argan oil. That’s my favorite way. I’ve mixed it with Supercity Block, and it does seem to add a little glow. Nothing stupendous. I’m sure it could be expertly applied as a subtle highlight over foundation, but have neither the patience or know how to deal with it. (So patchy).
   I also like using it on my eyelids, it’s buildable to a few layers, and it’s very pretty.

   I really like it as a brightener. BUT- I don’t find it meeting the claims on the box about instant tone correcting, fine lines, textural irregularities, etc. If your skin is dry and has wrinkles, it’s going to look like dry, wrinkly skin will a brightener applied over it. It masks nothing. It’s simply a liquid brightener that has a golden hue that stays put and gives you a little extra radiance and very slight blurring effect.

   I got this on clearance at CVS, and I figured I could use it to cover veins on my legs or something if it didn’t work on my face. Well, it doesn’t work on my face…or anywhere. It’s basically a bottle of thick, sticky, opalescent shimmer; not unlike the glitter glue my daughter uses on her art projects. It gives the kind of finish that makes my skin look like I used a sheet of aluminum foil as a makeup primer. I’ve applied this with my damp Beautyblender, various brushes, my fingers, over lotion, on bare skin, etc. This just isn’t something I can take seriously as makeup that will be seen in public. It might be great for stage effects in a theatre, but in actual sunlight it reminds me of 1970s women with fake orange tans and “frosted” makeup.

   Definitely would not consider this a foundation, but an illuminating primer would be accurate. That being said, I do very much like the product. You should definitely moisturize beforehand, and not much is needed. I normally use a bit more because I like to bring it down my neck,decollate and shoulder area. If you have nice skin with minimal acne than this would be good for days you just want to run out of the house and go. It gives the skin a soft glow and you look alive/healthy. I would suggest applying with hands instead of a brush or a beauty blender. It sinks into the skin quick and doesn’t leave a sticky residue. I use it and lightly conceal after, then go in with my blush and bronzer and call it a day. I have recommended to other friends of mind and hope they try it to see how it works for them.

   I picked this up for about $20 at CVS. It’s called foundation, but it’s not a foundation – it’s a transparent primer with a slight golden sheen that is supposed to color-correct and smooth texture. All things I want in life. Well, I applied it and the only change I could see was a sliiiiight overall evenness plus gold overlay. It really amped up my oil production as the day went on, I was a mess 🙁

   The bottle is tiny, too. This could work for you if your skin is already near-perfect, by adding a glow and overall enhancement, but I have like 10 other primers that work so much better for me.
