I wanted to love this. The color was good and I liked the serumy feel of it, but man it wears patchy. And those patches oxidize a bit too, so that’s no good. I will be purging this from my collection and maybe someone with a different skin type can get some good out of it.

I looove this foundation! It is perfect. It took me a year to find the perfect foundation, and I immediately scooped this bad boy up! It is a little on the oily side, and I have oily skin, so I mixed it as a bb cream with a mattifying moisturizer. I still get a little oily throughout the day, but I feel like it’s worth it.It’s light and my skin feels amazing when I take it off.

This is my go to foundation for my no make up kind of days, I wear this at home and or also over top of sunscreen if im having a beach day. it evens out any skin tone issues im having and gives me a nice dewy glow. also love the convenient packaging.

Omg I love this product. I feel my skin actually breath when I have this on. It’s not heavy and you can layer it for more coverage. I’m
Middle aged and my skin has some aging but when I wear this I actually look younger !!

I love this so much! I’m very fussy when it comes to foundations and have tried high and low end ones. I had been using PUR’s peachy primer, 4-1 tinted moisturizer and layer this with 4-1 powder. I was using clarins but wanted a line that wasn’t so $$. I also wanted a middle layer that didn’t have sunscreen as I’m not a big believer in sunscreens especially at night, right? I tried PUR’s air foundation and didn’t find the coverage great so than tried this Hydrafluid water serum foundation and voila, put all the layers together and wow so lovely

So far I am liking this product. You do not need to apply gobs of it; rather, a few dops at a time seems the best way, adding a drop or two more until you achieve satisfactory coverage. The best brush to use is one that gently beats the product into the skin – a flat, straight-top brush. Pur has its own brush for this foundation, but it can be applied with the fingers or a blender with comparable results.
Although this product has been described by some as more of a tinted moisturizer than a foundation, I think it provides more coverage than would an ordinary tinted moisturizer. For my combination-type skin, Hydra Fluid supplies the amount and density of coverage required to make my skin look healthy, natural, and moist. Oh — and dare I say it? — Younger.
There is no oil in this foundation and no sunscreen either, which is fine with me as my moisturizer contains sunscreen. Hydra Fluid uses water purportedly sourced from the Swiss Alps; for some reason, seeing this in print makes me want to either grimace or outright laugh. Who knows? Maybe it really DOES come from the Swiss Alps…
I have what they call “mature” skin, with dry spots, particularly the chin. My complexion is very light, but not as light as, say, Nicole Kidman. It is the type of “light” that looks almost gray sometimes — colorless, lifeless. This makes it very difficult to find the proper shade. Indeed, foundations sold in the U.S. make very few foundations of this color type.
Even though Pur Hydra Fluid has a limited number of shades, I settled on “Light,” and find it to correspond adequately with my skin tone. Not the best, but passable.
In any case, having tried a number of foundations with little success — either the formulations are too dark, too yellow, too matte, etc.) — I am going to stick with this foundation for now, or at least until I find something that is similar but that offers a wider range of color shades in the “light” spectrum (cool to neutral).
Additional comments/Cons:
Price: At $39.00, there should be a broader selection of shades available rather than a mere FIVE shades (which seems more in line with what tinted moisturizers offer, not a light-to-medium coverage foundation).

CAN YOU SAY DISCO BALL?? Packaging…great. That’s where the good ends. The gal at Ulta put it on and I looked at myself in a mirror in the hair salon. Thought it looked nice, but like all the beauty stores, the lights in those places are not the best. I should have taken a mirror by the front window, but I didn’t and bought it anyway. Didn’t look at myself until I got home. I thought at first that it was just to serum-y and I was oily already. No! My face was matte feeling, but the foundation almost looked like glitter on me. This was not glowy, not luminous, it was glittery/oily looking. Yuk. It went straight back to Ulta the next day.

It’s rare that I think a product is truly awful; mostly because I do my research here before I buy anything. I rely on reviews to help me decide what I even bother to sample. I don’t know why I ordered this before trying it. I have sampled many “serum” foundations (every brand seems to have one now) but I’ve never purchased one, mostly because the “dropper” bottles seem like such a wasteful mess. With this tube, Pur Minerals came up with a great way to distribute serum foundations without getting makeup all over the place. I like the “no dip” little dropper applicator very much. It keeps the tube pristine, and only the makeup you’re going to use goes on your brush.
Pur Minerals definitely got the best packaging, but when it comes to the formulation, I think they paid half price for the formula every other company rejected. This makeup has AHA (Lactic Acid), Retinol, and a watery-moist base, but no sunscreen. It claims to feel “lightweight” but on my face it both looks and feels like a mask. It makes my face look like I coated my face with orange-tinted Saran Wrap (Medium shade). It gives me all the gleam of a CPR dummy, but it doesn’t cover any discolorations, or even out my skin tone. I cannot get over how something so thin can look and feel so heavy. I could feel the cystic acne as the minutes passed before I washed and exfoliated my face.
I love foundations with thin, watery textures because they usually look so skin-like and perfected. While this foundation will be loved by others, for me it’s just a disaster. This must be formulated for very dry skin…not normal, not combo…but DRY. It is available in 5 shades only (Light, Medium, Tan, Dark, Deep). None of the shades match my MUFE UltraHD 365/NARS Barcelona skin.
