I had such high hopes for this one because of it’s high ratings and that I like this brand.I should have known better that me and stick foundations are not meant to be..good that I just paid 4$ for it
I ordered it online as I wasn’t able to find somewhere in neighborhood that carried Golden Rose testers.I wanted a light(but not fair)shade with a yellow or at least neutral undertone.and I couldn’t decide which one to choose.first I wanted to order shade number 4 but I read in a few online reviews that shade 4 is medium-tan.I had also seen shade 2 on my friend’s face and knew that eventhough it has the yellow undertone I like, but it’s very fair.so I ordered 3..well,it’s one of the worst color matches I have ever had.it’s literally pink! I know it has a cool undertone so it’s obvious that it won’t look good on my yellow-toned skin but my sister who has light skin with cool undertone tried it and it was too pink and too light on her too.one must have serious cool-toned skin to be able to pull this off.it oxidizes after a while but unfortunately changes to something which still looks off on me.it gets a bit darker and veryyy peachy.
It seems to have three very light shades,a very white,a very yellow and a very pink one.then it jumps to medium-tan shades!and this is a serious con. the one I have’s color makes it impossible to use for me(maybe except as a peachy color corrector to help covering my dark cycles) but there are even bigger cons.I was ready to order another color(eventhough I knew they are going to be too dark for me) if it had a nice finish on my skin.but it’s a cakey,flakey,heavy,mask-like,unnatural mess on my dry skin.very ugly and difficult to blend.it also manages to commit every single crime a foundation is capable of.as time passes it get more flakey and cakey on drier parts and gets oily and easily rubs off on some other parts.it transfers, creases like hell and oxidizes as mentioned before..to put a cherry on the cake,my skin starts itching and becoming red after having it for a while on my face
I know I was never able to find a stick foundation I didn’t dislike but this particular one is unbelievably awful.the only pros are it’s cheap price and decent coverage.this was a terrible experience(Golden Rose two phase Eye makeup remover was another bad experience with this brand),but I really like they’re translucent loose powder, matte lipsticks and lipliners.so I’d still like to try other products, even other foundations by this brand.but I highly recommend you not to blindbuy these stick foundations

It’s a really nice foundation compared to the price, my only issue is that it transfers quite easily and rubs off

I was very skeptical of this first. I have a very hard time finding the right shade AND something that doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. And I have never used a stick foundation before but I live in a very humid climate and the liquid formulas simply don’t stay well on my face on the hot summer days. Seeing this was cheap and had good reviews, I thought I would give it a try. Glad I did!
It’s super easy to blend, feels very soft and lightweight on the skin and has good, buildable coverage. I don’t know how it will do on my combination skin when the weather gets cooler but right now in this hot, humid days it stays on for at least 7 hours. (I clean my face as soon as I get home and the maximum I had this on was 7 hours.)
The packaging looks chic and classy.

This is an amazing product! It is the easiest foundation to apply. I use a blending brush (Mac 109) and it blends great. They have the best range of colors. I’m a number 01 (light ivory with pinky/neutral undertones) during the winter and a 02 (more yellow/neutral undertones) in the summer. The website always offers great deals: http://www.goldenroseusa.com. They have great customer service as well. The staff will offer great help, I needed to be matched and they did their best over the phone. When they sent the products, they were perfect!!!

Those who are familiar with the iconic Max Factor Pan Stik , will definitely fall in love with this product , I used the Max Factor Pan Stik many years ago , but stopped for the simple reason of not using foundations except in rare occasions , recently I was more into makeup so I searched my trusted old Pan Stick only to find out it was hard to find and getting more expensive , so I read the Shreen’s review and decided to buy the Golden Rose one , I was AMAZED 🙂 here are my opinions after test-driving it :
– Very creamy texture , but it never gets greasy as the Max Factor ‘s prone to sometimes
– Great selection of colours 7 shades easily ordered from the very lightest (01) with neutral undertone to (07) going darker with yellow \ pink undertone to every shade (I ‘ve got it in 02 which is light but has beige undertone , I wanted the 03 with pink undertone but it wasn’t available 🙁 For reference I have fair skin with neutral undertone I think it’s NW15 or 20 .
– Medium coverage , but I think it can be buildable to full coverage .
– Suitable for combo \normal skin , but I think it can be used for oily skin as well as it’s not greasy -unlike the Max Factor one – but certainly it needs a decent moisturiser under it .
– Long lasting and durable in warm weather .
– It blended easily with my fingers , I was surprised to see it sort of “sank” in my skin , so I thought it wasn’t covering anything ; but when I checked my visible undereyes circle, I felt they were almost gone 🙂
– You will hardly need any concealer with that , honestly .
-Good price but you get 11 gr of product , the Max Factor one is 14 gr but certailny pricier (if found ..)
– WONDERFUL , chic , sleek packging almost HE quality .
-No funny smells.
I wanted so much to try as tones as , they can double as a concealer , but they weren’t available in my town, and heard rumours it’s gonna be discountinued in Egypt :”( ..So fingers crossed please they won’t discontinue it here …
I have posted a pic of it and the shades but I think they don’t show truly here ..However , you can swatch it eaily if the brand was available in your country
Some shades I remember are :
01 very light with neutral undertone .
02 light , beige undertone .
03 light pink undertone
04 light tan with orangey undertone .
Hope that was helpful and thanks to Shreenmohsen for letting me discover this 🙂

I simply love this product it matches my skin tone perfectly (I have
fair skin with yellow undertone)I use # 01 also it`s very easy to belnd
just with my fingure tips & the price is amazing only 6$ & the
smell is very delicate . but if you have a very dry skin this product
may not suit you. for my combination skin I use a tiny amount
of my daily moisturizer then I apply the foundition
for a great result
